Air India to cut international flights till July amid fuel surge, airspace curbs

You didn't correct me, you agreed with me, question here is the validity of those assumptions and utility in relation to the real world. This has been discussed anyway in the economy thread just reinforces how if a certain reality cannot be stomached no problem, some people just move on to the next feel good fiction, if you don't think the closure of airspace is causing financial stress, an additional financial stress, okay why not talk about the GDP as well

If someone is right. There is no need to correct them. All statistics is based on estimates.

May that be projected growth rate of an economy or projected losses in a particular sector.

However what has been proven again and again for past few years is that, India government's projections of Indian economic growth rate is more or less accurate unlike some other countries who miss their projected growth rates by as much as 0.5 - 1.0 percent or even more, every single year.

Pakistanis would like to believe the entire India aviation sector about to collapse because Pakistan's closure of its airspace where as Indian airspace closure has no effect on Pakistan at all despite India being 4 times larger than Pakistan, blocks all most all Pakistani routes East and what's more, it prevents any future expansion of routes to East of Pakistan. I believe you just finished selling off PIA just yesterday.

On other hand Indians would like to believe that Pakistan closure airspace has no effect India aviation sector at all.

Obviously the truth some where in the middle. Pakistani airspace closure causes some losses but no where near what Pakistanis imagine.

If everything else was the same i.e. the gulf war, high jet fuel prices, Indian government not allowing fuel surcharge to passed on to passengers and middle eastern airspace closure. But Pakistan airspace was still open for India owned aircraft, the Indian avaition sector losses would have been pretty much the same.

Yes but the reality is everything is not the same, if there was no gravity then I could float in the air.

As for the GDP point, it's another thread, statistics also have reliability, and plenty of published reports which question the assumptions outside of the services sector, the economic output for the majority of Indians cannot be reliably captured, hence the assumptions that lead to bloating of the GDP.

It's a first world sounding GDP based on a third world approach.

On the other hand a company's audited financial statements are going to be much more measurable and reliable, you have higher costs and higher flying times and therefore other downstream costs, that's not statistics that's just basic accounting

Just start flying flights over Pakistan airspace without their approval and see if they have guts to attack innocent civilian aircraft.... I will be the first one to board on this flight if we decide to experiment....

There have been several instances of civilian aircraft (and military aircraft, which is a case that IAF are VERY familiar with!) being forced to land for straying into hostile airspace. Sometimes the aircraft is shot down, sometimes it does successfully land in hostile territory.

I don't see how either outcome is a "win" for India but please do proceed.

You are assuming that India economic growth can not reliably measured as majority of Indian economy is undocumented economy, hence Indian growth rate is inflated.

That is a very flawed assumption, but what does that say about your own economic growth rate or Bangladesh's or for that matter any third world country ?

Indian lives seem cheap, even to fellow Indians

With combined Pakistani and Bangladeshi population, we still don't have more poor people than all of Africa put together like India does.

It's a cope though. The soon you guys come out of finding such feel good articles the better.
And yet, you guys come here every day looking for our acknowledgement.

Can you guys not invent an Indian defence forum where you can create multiple accounts and praise each other day and night as much as you like?

OT but it seems that the Bollywood economics just perpetuate around here.

You tell us what is the actual "cope" whenever GDP is deployed?

Total GDP is - as has been repeated ad nauseam for the benefit of those who don't know how to divide numbers - as useful as telling the world how many chicken dinners a country produces in total over a year.

GDP per capita is a far more useful measure but of course, that figure is avoided by fanboys here because the gap then narrows substantially between India and Pakistan.

Definition of cope. Visiting the forum of your sworn enemy every day of your life. Being humiliated on there, thread banned, posts removed and widely mocked, then coming back day after day for more.

No longer just cope, i think it is more an illness you have my friend....

No, you don't get it

We DONT CARE

We don't care about India AT ALL,

Wo whether India does well or badly, WE DONT CARE

it was only due to Indian stupidity in Kashmir and the retarded one India policy where you got hundreds of millions of Indian Muslims stuck in India that we even care one tiny little bit about what India is doing

Otherwise we could have a clean cut in 1947

We don't want trade or relations, or friendship, we rather you not use our airspace or sea space or connect with you in any way

India has largest population on Earth, hence number of poor people living in India will also be large.

However as a percentage of population, Indian poverty rate is lower than than that of Pakistan's.

What is even worse, while India is steadily removing its populace from poverty.

Pakistan on the hand is fast pushing more of its populace into poverty.

"Poverty rises to 28.9% despite economic recovery"

That somehow India overstates GDP akin to your Hidden Ekonomy.

I'm not even comparing economies, there is no comparison between any of India's neighbours and India. It would be better if people stop the comparison with India altogether because the complexity and scale is unmatched. Per capita is of course good to a certain point, it shows how far India can go at the current rate of growth, but what good was per capita for Sri Lanka when they had a crisis.

I would go even a step further.

India too does not want anything to do with Pakistan.

May that be trade or relations or friendship or Kashmir or even Indus water treaty.

Irony of you with your little Indian profile flag jumping in here in a desperate attempt to convince us you do not think of us every hour of your waking life....
