Most likely Administrative Units will be created to better manage everything.
By the way AJK is like a small administrative or province type of division and look at the rola, people always have grievances. The positivity is security is better, power is more devolved since its a smaller unit, since its small they have closer healthcare, schools are better managed, its mainly local who lobby for this.

AJK own revenue Rs60bn. Pakistan give them Rs250bn. These are figures from 2025-26 AJK budget.

Rs310bn budget for 4.5m people which are less then Rawalpindi district isn't small amount. So where does that money goes?

AJK would be more developed if it didn't have bloated state machinary. Rs40bn is given on annual wheat subsidy which is stupid. Instead this can finance Mirpur-Muzafarad motorway, industrialization, airport etc. Not sure what is the obsession of AJK/GB folk for getting subsdized wheat?

Its clear with financial management like this AJK will remain backward always looking at Islamabad to give them more subsdies and money. Then you wonder why all these British Mirpuris are shifting to Islamabad/Lahore and no longer invest in Mirpur.

Doesn't make any sense as they are basically Punjabis or one/two Pushtun tribes who settled in the hills. Very little cultural overlap with Kashmiris in the Valley. Its more of an extension of Hazara/Muree patch.

Look at their demands and what they are trying to do... They want the state of Pakistan to directly interfere and make changes like the ones made by the Indians like the scrapping of article 370 and article 35A ?
The Indians are introducing settlers and increasing pro Indian voters in Kashmir while JAC is demanding abolition of 12 seats of Kashmiri migrants into Pakistan... Not increase of seats of Azad Kashmir but exclusively targeting those seats...

GB yes and that has been a long standing demand of GBians to become a part of Pakistan independent of Azad Kashmir.
AJK make them independent. Give them there passport and migrate the Kashmiris that are living here back to Azad Kashmir.
