Guys, all I am going to say is that it breaks my heart to see that India has not only succeeded in creating unrest in KPK but in Balochistan and AJK as well and due to our own policies, there is now a propoganda among certain people that AJK is getting suppressed.

This attitude was going on since the 80s-90s when insurgency in Kashmir peaked a lot more concessions were given to ajk to keep things under control
Now that IOK insurgency is almost dead but the attitude of JKLF type guys is more or less the same in terms as in they expect to be treated like royalty or else they'll say nasty things to get their way, Pakistan is going broke and the elite in Pakistan are not willing to give up their own subsidies to make way for this as elite use those subsidies for bureaucracy, generals and politicians to keep everyone in the ruling classes on the same page
If government takes away those subsidies they risk disunity amongst their ranks

Nehru after promising plebiscite to Kashmiris in 1948 to gain Abdullah support quickly turned 180 and consolidated whatever territory they held. Pakistan instead of doing same continued to play drama of autonomous AJK.

Now if AJK is foreign territory then why you have 10% army from there. So you treat them as Pakistanis in some ways and pretend they are foreign when it comes to dispute. You hold elections in AJK and let them elect PM who is barely above CM in reality.

Now some AJK nationalists believe they were promised independent state as if that was ever the option. There is still time to treat GB/AJK as provinces, give them share of power in federal govt which will obviously dilute 4 provinces power. Keep dispute alive by making this setup provisional till final resolution.

If subsidy is the main issue, you know which organisation takes a huge sum of subsidies, such as sugar mills, fertiliser manufacturers, power plants, armed forces, etc.
Now, in terms of abusing, these elites break laws at their will in broad daylight. If the public cannot feel that and is insensitive to it, but not to verbal abuse, then that is it.
India gives subsidised rations to 50-75% of its population. Now, giving some leverage to 4 million people in AJK is not stressful for a strategic area.
Nonetheless, they should be convinced through dialogue that, given Pak economic conditions, it is not sustainable. It should be eliminated in the next 10-15 years or so.
