There have been no election rigging in GB this time.. PTI was facing challenges due to lack of singular election symbol, but even then the most popular party in GB is PPP by far especially in Shia majority areas... To give you a idea of how much Shia vote matters to PPP in GB is that in GBA-02 Shia voted for PMLN and they couldn't get that seat.

This is the beauty of electoral politics that there are many factors at play at the same time.

The issue relates to JAC and its fair and unfair demands and the state handling its affairs in a worse possible way.

To top it off the government does not take responsibility and its backers always think in terms of kinetic or bare knuckle approach that compounds the issue even further.

To top it off, the current government and its handlers keep on blaming PTI and their touts just magnify the narrative.

Naturally, the Indians next door will take this further and point to Azad Kashmir not being very Azad and the world will buy the narrative.

Most definitely, vote casting in GB is the most unique in all of Pakistan... All are related to each other and votes usually depend upon who is going to commit how much. instead of just party leaders the person who's getting voted in is also key to success... So you don't see Buddhi Phuppos and Disco Accountant getting voted in.

Moreover, party seats are also surrendered in a beautiful way. A group of elders would go to the home of the unsuccessful candidate / old candidate to convince him to leave that party seat... Then the party is usually informed that this is our new candidate..

Do you even know what JAAC is protesting for? All but ONE major demand of theirs have been fulfilled: The removal of IOK Muhajir seats, which is something you would expect the Indians to demand after defeating us in a war.

Yet, JAAC cultists pretend that they are some oppressed dasmels in distress protesting for 'basic rights.' This is an insult to Kashmiris of IOK who have died protesting ACTUAL atrocities like mass rapes, murders, genocide, or something as little as not supporting the Indian Cricket Team.

I am a Kashmiri, I've never felt the need to blackmail the govt on an ethno-nationalist basis, just because they refuse to strip away representation from a certain group of people, or give me free sh!t at the expense of the taxpayer in a country where the average monthly wage is less than what a 15 year old janitor at Wendy's earns in a few days.

There are THREE MILLION Kashmiris living in Lahore, how many of them go around shooting up the city and threatening separatism, just because they don't get endless luxuries and monopoly over the voting bank?

IT is sad to see a segment of Pakistan's Punjabi Pahari diaspora acting like Iranian Persian diaspora, maligning their own country and people while using the name of Kashmiri ethnicity for their agenda.

AJK is not and never has been 99% Punjabi, no one calls themselves Punjabi. The people of AJK fought the Sikh Punjabi empire, Punjab in Pakistan (people in charge, nobles) did not and allied with it.
I will agree with you there is some misuse of the Kashmiri identity, as that the people, around 85% are descended from tribes that migrated from Punjab hundreds of years ago. However, parallels can be draw with Afghanistan, where traditionally being Afghan meant you were Pashtun, however that doesn't stop or put off Tajiks which is a different ethnicity calling themselves Afghan.
Again I'll agree there is no 'oppression' as such, but the people of AJK have suffered and it's them who are the first to be shaheed whenever the Indian army opens up with heavy guns. There has been literally hundreds of deaths due to cross border fire. Excluding yourself I find it erroneous that someone sitting in a housing colony in Lahore and Karachi can be tapping out on their keyboard on how the people are traitors and should be crushed, when they themselves haven't seen a single day of suffering.
As for the stripping away of rights, we don't know who holds the seats and they have been used for political leverage. I have no issue with the seats and they should be kept for the ancestors of those who migrated. So where are all the Ganis, Bhatts, Lones, Gilanis, Mirs etc?
The figure for Lahore is more or less correct and comes from the 2017 census.

Pahari regions (inluding potohar, hazara etc) did a lot against both sikhs and especially the War of '48; let's not belittle them just because of some random protests. It's counterproductive.

The Sikhs weren't in charge then lol, get your facts right. They were led by a British officer, we led our selves. Also take a look where the bulk of the Dogra forces were, they were in Jammu. But that doesn't take anything way from them.
The region was freed way before the Pashtuns or Punjabis joined the battle, but of course they've helped with security after that.

"AJK" was part of Mughal punjab and later on sikhs also made it part of their kingdom. In 1846 British transferred AJK districts to Dogra hindus as a reward for their support. Thats how AJK got separated from punjab on paper.
