This is the new one that just arrived last year, right? So there will be 6 total once the other 5 are built in Algeria was that the contract with China, for a total of 6? Or is there more beyond that? That's a great corvette for what it packs, excellent choice and we all know how efficient the Chinese are a building ships, add that to Algeria's own experience and that could blast open the doors for all sorts of crazy stuff. Mabrouk! (y) I wish (all the time I say this) that the two get together for much more joint exercises, especially navy for obvious reasons. There in ONLY benefit in that and I don't know why it hasn't happened yet. I tell you, WE need to be in charge of these things walahi.

Is this the new boss Nouredine?

This is really good stuff. Do you know what the dark radomes are for the few MKA's? I know the general common reason for that, just wondering if it's the same in with the AAF.

Sweet 29. It's not one of the newer Ms I can see that, but is this one of the "adjusted" 29s from the shameful MiG SMT delivery that they unbelievably tried to pass on to Algeria and were obviously busted? Is this one of the replacements for that order or an earlier model? Looks impeccable with the R-27s. Also which version R27s are those?

I also noticed what seems to be a much more concerted effort to move towards Chinese equipment. That seems to be what many regional militaries are doing in light of what Russia has done, mainly the SMO in Ukraine but also CAATSA. That has obviously affected not only many of our countries vis a vis purchasing big platforms from Russia but affected Russia itself considerably.

Has Algeria been threatened by the US at all? Considering Russia has been a HUGE supplier for many years, I'm wondering if the US has told you guys "no more" or some bullshit like they like to do?

The deal included 6 ships, the first one from China and the remaining five to be manufactured in Algeria ...Last year, representatives of the shipbuilding company ECRN, which belongs to the Algerian Ministry of Defense, , presented the vessel as part of their manufacturing programs, alongside the Alusafe 2000 MPV patrol boat and the El-Bassel Class tug which have already been built by the ECRN shipyard

Algerian Army display a new domestic artillery system based on a 6x6 Mercedes-Benz Zetros chassis with a 122mm howitzer mounted at the rear of the chassis.
This new howitzer is equipped with a Chinese digital ballistic computer/fire control system (DFCS); and use the same 122mm gun as the Chinese CS/SH4.
