It's better to say it's bad advertisement for HAL and Indian aerospace in general. I think many problems gonna arise for this sector, even Dassualt ones might be on the risk of being renegotiated. Look F-35 was just crazy. Also all it's customers are nations that worked on the aircraft on the joint fighter program hence why they're confident and so is the world. Unlike Tejas which is distrusted by the IAF itself. Making it's credibility very bad. Also seeing how bad it's show was from the oil leak to this crash, I think it would kill any potential deal with any foreign nation immediately.
