Right!! I am almost certain the pilot was well aware of his situation and was trying to get out of that but, as you said, not enough altitude.
He was a Wing Commander and had a lot of experience.

Agree, which is why we need to stay NEUTRAL in Indian disasters.
Indians have mocked and celebrated EVERY single disaster in Pakistan ( train wrecks, road bus accidents, air crashes, earthquakes, floods, terrorist attacks and the COVID pandemic).
Here is the difference noted even in India.

But it’s disheartening to recall how, in the past, when Pakistan faced tragedies—whether it was a train accident in Balochistan, a collapsed building, or even a school attack—many Indian social media users were seen mocking, celebrating, or spreading hateful comments.
This is not just a difference in mindset—it’s a difference in humanity and values.
We, as Pakistanis, choose empathy over hatred.
We respond to loss with prayers, not taunts.
And that’s something we’re proud of.
Let us always be on the side of humanity—no matter what.
Today’s Pakistan is not the Pakistan of 30 or 40 years ago.
The image of Pakistan that Indian media often shows its people—a nation full of hatred and hostility toward India—is outdated. That was the Pakistan of decades ago.
Today, the average Pakistani does not harbor hate for India.
In fact, if someone speaks against India publicly, they are more likely to be criticized by fellow Pakistanis than supported. We’ve learned—through hard lessons—that hatred, extremism, and blind nationalism only lead to destruction.
Unfortunately, the situation in India today is quite the opposite.
Anti-Pakistan sentiment is not just alive in India—it’s the mainstream.
Hatred sells. Politicians win votes through it, media gains TRPs, and influencers gain followers. Nationalism is being replaced with jingoism, just as it once happened in Pakistan many years ago.
India is now going through the same dangerous phase Pakistan once went through—rising fanaticism, intolerance, and blind hate.
If this path continues unchecked, the consequences could be just as devastating.
Nations are built on compassion and justice—not hatred.It’s never too late to choose peace over propaganda.

It is one thing to no rejoice over the death of a pilot in an air show and offer condolences to the dead's family but Shahid Afridi, if he is implying this crash itself wasn't good, then he is absolutely wrong: This is the most wonderful news for Pakistan and China and a disaster for India's morale and image.

Oh, absolutely. This crash is another affirmation of the narrative built during the May 7, 2025 conflict between India and Pakistan where Pakistanis can now proudly claim that PAF dominates the skies of the Subcontinent. Plus, the world has seen the Chinese military hardware in a real battle and come to notice them. I heard that when the news flashed in early morning hours of May 7 that the PAF had downed multiple Indian jets, the Chinese Ambassador in Islamabad went to some Pakistani govt office (maybe the Foreign Office) and was jubilant!!
Every serious analyst should connect this crash with the events of May 7, 2025 and subsequent events. But I can't wait to see if/when Trump brings this up in a pitch to sell the F-35 to India! Tag me if he does that!!

It didn't matter to Pakistanis because those killed were Indian Muslims.

I hate to say this but the fear of an enraged Indian population and the threat of annihilation has driven most Pakistanis to adopt a submissive stance towards Indians; in the faint hope that showing empathy will somehow save them from the onslaught.
