Today, Wednesday, FIFA officially granted the honor of organizing the 2030 World Cup finals to the joint bid between Morocco, Spain and Portugal.
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has placed great confidence in the “Hassan II” stadium in Benslimane to host the final or opening match of the 2030 World Cup, as it is “an ambitious new project that plans to create the largest football stadium in the world, with modern infrastructure and facilities” by the year 2028.
FIFA stressed, in the joint file evaluation report, that the new Moroccan stadium “will act as a catalyst for the development of a sports city complex with an area of 100 hectares, and the total planned capacity of 115,000 seats will exceed the minimum required set at 80,000 seats for the opening and/or final match.
