Armament of the Russian Army

Footage of the Russian plant producing Geranium-2 drones. The plant was built in 2023 in the Alabuga special economic zone. The plant in Yelabuga is constantly increasing production, presumably already producing from 30 to 50 thousand drones. Now the Geranium-2 drone has been modernized and its production is completely localized, with the Iranian UAV Shahed 136 it is connected only by the shape of the body. Engines, microelectronics, GLONASS / GPS correction modules, Kometa-M antennas, optical-electronic guidance sensors, fuselage, wiring are already being produced in Russia.
The main innovation in the new Geranium-2 drones is the optical guidance system, thanks to which the operator can control the drone. For this, SIM cards of mobile operators are used, in the future Russian satellite Internet. Drones can also exchange data, including with the Gerbera UAV. The Geranium-2 drone weighs 200 kilograms and is launched from a catapult using a solid-fuel booster to a range of up to 2,000 kilometers. The weight of the drone's warhead has already been increased to 90 kilograms, and the flight altitude is up to 4,000 meters. The drone is equipped with a 50 hp engine and reaches speeds of up to 180 km/h, with a flight duration of up to 12 hours. The price of the Geranium-2 drone is presumably from 20 to 50 thousand dollars. According to The Economist, in 2024, Russia produced 300 Geranium-2 UAVs. At the same time, Russia intends to increase the production of Geranium-2 to 500 units per day, the publication writes.

The nuclear-powered missile submarine Orel of the Russian Northern Fleet headed to the Barents Sea as part of the July Storm exercises. Project 949A Antey is a series of Soviet and Russian third-generation nuclear missile submarines. Eleven submarines of this project were built between 1982 and 1996. Project 949A submarines were designed as hunters of aircraft carrier strike groups. With new hypersonic missiles, the boat can destroy an aircraft carrier and some of the escort ships with one salvo.

The new Russian Shturm project robotic assault tank and control vehicle have been spotted near Uralvagonzavod. The Shturm project consists of remotely controlled tanks and control vehicles developed on the basis of the T-72 and T-90 tank chassis. The Shturm project robotic tank is equipped with a shortened 125 or 152 mm gun designed for use in urban areas. The tank should be equipped with active protection and a bulldozer blade. There is no exact data on the project. Unmanned tanks and control vehicles are supposed to be made as autonomous as possible

As part of the recent Russian naval exercises "July Storm", we publish unique footage of the use of the Tor-M2KM air defense system on a Russian corvette. In the video, the Tor-M2KM air defense system is located on the deck of the Viktor Velikiy patrol ship of Project 22160. The ships of this project were initially built without air defense systems, but the installation of the Tor-M2KM air defense system improved the protection of these ships. The video shows how the Tor-M2KM air defense system shoots down an Kh-35 anti-ship missile. Construction of Project 22160 ships has been discontinued.

Russian units received Ulan army buggy pickups, created on the chassis of the Niva SUV. Who makes it is not reported. The vehicle is equipped with a cargo compartment, the cargo can be placed on the hood. In the cabin of the all-terrain vehicle, you can see sockets and USB ports for charging various equipment. The Ulan front-line buggy is already used to deliver military personnel and ammunition, the first reviews are positive. Perhaps these vehicles will replace the Chinese buggies in the army, which we previously wrote about.

The Russian Center for Advanced Unmanned Technologies "Rubicon" has begun to form units with sea drones. We recently showed the declassified tests of sea drones during the "July Storm" exercises. Since there is practically nowhere to use sea drones now, it can be assumed that unmanned boats are being created to destroy maritime infrastructure, ports and ships located in them. According to Ukrainian experts, the Rubicon center can already organize group work of up to 400 sea drones. It is not yet clear what sea drones will be used, one of them looks like a modified sea drone "Orkan", it was shown earlier

500 drones per day production ? seriously ??

and this is why Russia does not want to end the war in Ukraine against pretty much the entire world

they now have done what they did in WW2, they have basically militarised their entire industrial complex and its too late to stop

Russia will be a massive Global Power in 5 years time

they need to keep going , look what West has done to Gaza

if Russia gives up they will do the same to Russians

Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighters have begun using new low-visibility missiles S-71K and S-71M. This was also reported by Ukrainian media. So far, there are only photos of the new ammunition. This is a hybrid of a drone and a S-71M Monochrome missile and low-visibility cruise missiles S-71K Carpet. The first mentions of the S-71 appeared in 2019. There is no information with characteristics on them, officially they are still undergoing tests, so far only assumptions are published. We publish patent images showing the operation of the S-71 drones. Judging by them, the drone launched from the aircraft will search for the line of combat contact and independently search for targets. The estimated range of the S-71 ammunition is up to 350 km, with a flight altitude of 5 to 75 meters. Flight speed from 730 to 950 km / h
