The first Swedish Pbv 302 armored personnel carrier appeared in the units of the Russian army in Ukraine. Previously, the Pbv 302 armored personnel carrier was used by the Ukrainian army, but was abandoned by the crew, under what circumstances is unknown. The Pansarbandvagn 302 APC was produced in Sweden from 1966 to 1971. It was created to replace the Pbv 301 and M113 APCs. The Pbv 302 APC can be armed with 20-mm automatic cannons. The PBV 302 APC has a speed of up to 66 km / h, and a cruising range of 300 km. The Pbv 302 APC can carry up to 12 people, with two crew members.
