At least 14 newborn babies killed after fire breaks out in Pakistan hospital

Because it all is politics, why can't you people understand it? Politics has a direct effect on the lives of people.

My own cousin had to get a sifarish from a 2 star to get a house job in PIMS way back before COVID. The directors are known to be sifarshis.

What incentive does a sifarshi have to improve the facilities under his purview? Why do you get a sifarshi? Because the person who put him there is himself compromised and beholden, so he has to do this. The chain goes up and up and up until nobody in the system is actually doing their job, and only filling a seat and drawing a salary.

Islamabad is a prime example of this. I have lived there practically my whole life. The city is indistinguishable from what it was even 10 years ago.

The people entrust their representatives with their lives and well being, in return the representative has an obligation and an incentive to uplift the people and ensure everything is working, this translates to bureaucracy too. This is the basic of a functioning governance system. When the incentive of everyone is not to serve the people but either serve the person who got them in this position, or fill their pockets, then you get tragedies like these.

You think this is the first time a fire erupted in the country? Or even a hospital?

Hamesha bas aisay hi aik do muzammat kay lafz hi boltay rehna hai, and when somebody speaks up drown them out by the usual "politics/cult/XYZ", or do we actually wanna face the music and acknowledge the problem for what it is?

What I wrote above goes above party lines, so please don't turn this into that. Wake up and realize why the current system is functioning as it does, don't just see the symptom.
You are arguing against a point I never made. Discussing institutional failure, political responsibility, corruption and sifarish is entirely legitimate. Those responsible must be identified and held accountable.

My comment was directed at people using a fresh tragedy for cheap partisan point-scoring and making gutter-level remarks before the facts are even established. There is a clear difference between demanding accountability and exploiting victims to attack whichever political party or institution you already hate.

If your argument genuinely rises above party lines, then my comment was not directed at you. Accountability is necessary, but basic decency should not become its casualty.

May the wrath of Allah SWT forever be upon ALL those responsible (at every level) for the horrific crimes of the incompetent and immoral corrupt bastards
Ameen. And may the same wrath be upon those exploiting this tragedy for cheap political point scoring. Summa Ameen.

According to Dawn, there have been 30 incidents of fires in Pakistani hospitals going back to 2010.

The U.S. Fire Administration reported that during 2012–2014, U.S. hospitals averaged about 1,100 fires per year but fewer than 5 deaths per year from those fires.

30 fires pales incomparison to 1,100.

And FYI this particular institution, PIMS, has also been taken over by the army in its long encroachment into everything outside of its domain. Why else do you think PIMS was selected to sabotage a recent Supreme Court ruling ?

Shame on you for shamelessly posting fake news again and again.

The caretaker Government proposed this because PIMS was facing a shortage of staff and there were internal politics involved which was making it difficult to appoint a new head.

And IHC stopped this immediately and the plan was never implemented. PIMS is under a civilian head and no Army doctor has served in the hospital in these 3 years.

If you had just googled it, you'd have not posted this fake news. Or maybe you knew about it and still went on with your verbal diarrhea, like you do on every thread.

Have some shame and at least apologize and delete your post.

إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

Just awful. Just entered this world only to be taken out straight away. Poor parents.

HEADS MUST ROLL FOR THIS.
