At least 14 newborn babies killed after fire breaks out in Pakistan hospital

Unfortunately, nothing will happen. So many incidents have happened over so many years.

The truth is that the people are just sheep. They have no value in Pakistan. Humans aren't seen as a valuable resource in Pakistan. Instead they are seen as a burden by the elites. The people of Pakistan should know the score.
Yes, $18k has been announced for the victims families and I think this whole matter will be forgotten in a few weeks.

This news hit hard in a different way.

Atleast this and other babies didn't growup to face the cruel life and people in Pakistan and would have an amazing afterlife in Jannah in the care Prophet Ibrahim AS.

Just throw a few bones and the issue is resolved. These elites have figured out how to navigate in this country.

Make no mistake, the people too are part of the problem. In fact, a very big part of the problem. They are part of this system and allow it to exist and flourish.

Well they were born in Pakistan. That explains the fact.

You are arguing against a point I never made. Discussing institutional failure, political responsibility, corruption and sifarish is entirely legitimate. Those responsible must be identified and held accountable.

My comment was directed at people using a fresh tragedy for cheap partisan point-scoring and making gutter-level remarks before the facts are even established. There is a clear difference between demanding accountability and exploiting victims to attack whichever political party or institution you already hate.

If your argument genuinely rises above party lines, then my comment was not directed at you. Accountability is necessary, but basic decency should not become its casualty.

When you limit all other avenues of protest or disagreement, then public sentiment will come out in this manner.

Nothing exists in a vacuum.

How do you suggest then we discuss political responsibility, and corruption, and institutional failure without commenting on the political parties at the helm of affairs? Beating around the bush is what got us to this point. Sab ki feelings ka khayal rakho, janay do, play cutie two shoes all the time while poeple in this country get killed every other day due to their incompetence...but hey, syasat nhn karni chahiay dead bodies par.

It ain't syasat, it's accountability.

Do you think a competent doctor who hates Imran Khan and his policies would get equal opportunity in pro PTI dominated work place?
Yes...I know a few. So sit down.
Even in America people are tired of seeing foreign doctors take over jobs from white Americans because some of them are involved in bad medical practices.
Is KPK free from moral corruption, and shafars? It does not take 100 billion dollars to fix basic low cost issues in KPK. What about 1000s of innocent homeless boys in KPK who are forced to perform disgusting acts? Why has this illegal activity normalized instead of tackling such issue?
im not justifying government negligence but PTI is definitely not the solution for everything.

WTF did I just read? Where did PTI come in from, and those 1000s of boys in KP have been an issue even before PTI, aur Punjab kay kisi bus adday par chalay jao the same thing's happening.

Or you wanna pay a visit to a madrassa in Jhang?

I did not even propose PTI as a solution to anything, get out of this phobia dude, it'll consume your life.

This is horror. But how F…. air conditioning can explode?
Babies' nursery room usually the most safest place in the hospital. And how about the fire management in the hospital itself i mean there must be automatic fire extinguisher there don't you ?? If this happens here in U.K. you cant imagine the anger of the society, even the Health Secretary would step down or PM because of it. really unbelievable.

I've seen outer units explode. They contain large capacitors.

Thanks for proving my point, PTI is not better then any other political party and child safety is not in their list of priorities.

I guess it can happen

My concern is a fire does not happen in a hospital and kill 14 babies. Was it a poor maintenance issue of this equipment or lack of it!

Hospitals are full of things that could ignite, people can have errors and so on.

The point is... if a fire starts in any room of a hospital (or any other public building) it should be immediately detected and sound alarms everywhere in the building.

Such systems are very cheap currently, it can work with wifi and send the alarm to all building and to remote emergency locations instantly. In Chinese platforms like AliExpress, the price is about $10 USD for fire (smoke) detector connected to wifi network.

The question that remains, after that, are there still hospitals without such systems running?

Most likely, improperly serviced units. Outdoor coils may have been heavily blocked by debris and dirt, heat cannot dissipate. The pressure rises continuously and the casing bursts.
