A Sea King helicopter operated by the Pakistan Navy crashed in the Arabian Sea during a routine flight on August 31. One crew member was killed in the mishap and six others were recovered.

*CONDOLENCE MESSAGE BY CHIEF OF THE NAVAL STAFF*

Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf has expressed deep sorrow and grief over tragic loss of Lieutenant Taha Abbasi of Pakistan Navy and Flight Lieutenant Muhammad Qasim Abdullah of Pakistan Air Force, who embraced shahadat in the line of duty during a routine training sortie near Mardan today.

The Naval Chief honoured the young officers as brave sons of the soil, stating that their supreme sacrifice in the line of duty reflects the highest traditions of our Armed Forces. Chief of the Naval Staff also extended his deepest, heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of the Shuhada.
