I thought she had fled abroad years ago to her sister in the UK or US somewhere. For her to disappear and then get "re-activated" like this just tells me she has been Establishment all along.

Then again so is Mullah Diesel lol.

Fazlur Rehman is like Mqm, he wants to blackmail the establishment for a big piece of cake, also with Afghanistan Taliban in power whom he shares the same ideology, he is very powerful in todays Pakistan. He maintains big connections in KPK, Afghanistan and Balochistan, plus with foreign nations. No wonder he is always blessed with 10 odd seats. He is establishment baby, just like Tahir Asharfi, with a few others I dare not to mention. Its old alliance since the 1980s.

Don't disagree with this part of his speech. The govt keeps using same tired old playbooks. For the umpteenth time they want the people to make "lashkars" to fight and soften the militants, preceding a military operation. There will be promises made to these lashkars which of course will never be fulfilled and lots of the lashkar rank and file will be slaughtered by militants post-operation. We have seen this film before so many times in KP.

This effort is even more pointless now that militants have the entirely of Afghanistan to escape and hide in, only to return post-operation.

So Maulana is correct here to ask the govt to do the job for which it is receiving salaries and perks.

Of course there is also a subtext that Maulana, being an expert blackmailer and seasoned politician, will change his tune if offered enougn benefits by the govt.

The selection of words maybe are harsh. But the essence is correct. I have never seen, for instance, US military use tens of thousands of lives they sacrificed for their country as a shield for politcal maneuvers.

On point he seems right, he been forced to raise the lashkar to confront cross border insurgency. But that will endangering his supporters and constituency and top his own LIFE, he also won too many favors from Generals. He got PTI women seats in parliament, which is one of them....

Yes, Bajwa and Faiz Hameed pissed away all the gains and sacrifices of 2008-2014 by focusing entirely on Project Imran and Project Taliban in Afghanistan. Then idiot Muneera compounded these follies by bombing the same Taliban in Kabul, leading then to provide safe haven and support to a re-generated TTP and the BLA.

Now you want a reset and go back to 2008 and Lashkar's again ??? I don't think so.
