Why is it acceptable to shoot at protestors? What twisted world do you live in where you trvialise and normalise such barbarity?

In the civilised world, protest is everyone's right. In AJK even our school children protest.

If protesters turn violent, aerial firing should be acceptable as long as it does not cause harm. It is not like the situation in Iran, where thousands of people were shot which is certainly not the case in AJK, no matter how much PTI propaganda and Indian IT cells alter algorithms to claim thousands are killed there.

My mother's family is from Sangot, in or near New Mirpur City. They said they haven't heard of anyone being killed. They have heard gunshots and seen the police rough up a few people but that's about it.

PS They have been told to stay indoors since the start of the week.

In Mirpur city protestors and passers by were shot at directly outside Faisal Plaza. It's right near the court, Nafees Restuarant and limelight and khaadi. That stretch of road. Some of those people have died.

I have video footage of police and rangers marching through Ban Khurman, a working class residential area, it's the abadi you drive through if you head down past Toyota to go towards Chechian and Khari Sharif.

They are breaking CCTV, shooting into residential streets. Bro - last year this time, me and my kids were on one the very same streets i've got footage of them shooting down.

There is footage of the shooting, footage injured being dragged into the back of pickups, footage of police raiding the hospital, footage of fire services hosing down the blood off the road.

I have not seen footage of the dead bodies from close up. There is footage of people shot, motionless on the road - are they all dead or just injured - you cannot tell from the footage.

There are now images emerging of Janazas.

That's the thing. Speaking to my relatives, I have heard that there have been a small number of incidents and scuffles but nothing major. No one is talking about dead protesters or live firing at them.

Really sad that members here want to attribute everything to "AI", "Indian propoganda" . Yet, no one will question why the "establishment", "political class" is not reaching out and doing more to assuage the concerns of common people of AJK. Why are they not sitting with them on the very chowk in the videos and hearing their concerns. If nothing happened, why are they scared.
