Bangladesh also needs to work with Turkiye on upgrading its ballistic inventory.

Also Turkiye helped Azerbaijan regain Nagorno-Karabakh from Armenia. There were even 1 million Azeri refugees who were victims of ethnic cleansing. So we may need Turkish support and expertise in establishing a safe zone in northern Rakhine to repatriate Rohingya refugees back to their native land.

1. Russia is backing Bangladesh in becoming a part of BRICS. Bangladesh has a bigger population than Russia and has a direct land border with India and regional neighbours (separated by India and Myanmar) with China e.g. Kunming is just 60 minutes away from Dhaka by plane.

2. Bangladesh is now president of the United Nations General Assembly.

3. Alongside our increased political, economic power we must increase our military power including development of an indigenous submarine, intercontinental ballistic missiles and a heavily beefed up air force. We are lagging behind on this.

However with our friends and partners such as India, China, Russia, Japan and Turkey we can do this.
