The National Independent Inquiry Commission has submitted its report on the BDR massacre to Chief Adviser Mluhammad Yunus, concluding that the killings were planned and directly involved the then-ruling Awami League, with former MP Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh identified as the key coordinator and the incident allegedly carried out with former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's approval. The commission also cited failures by security agencies, evidence destruction, foreign involvement, and recommended measures to prevent similar future tragedies.

Sorry, as of now Bangla only. I will try to keep this thread updated with more information as they become available.

In the investigation report on BDR mutiny killings, the National Independent Investigation Commission, formed to probe the incident, alleged direct involvement of the then-ruling Awami League and strong evidence of external forces' involvement.

The commission submitted its report to Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus today, according to a release from the CA Press Wing. Commission chief Major General (retd) ALM Fazlur Rahman and other members handed over the report at the state guesthouse Jamuna.

Explaining the findings, Major General (retd) Mohammad Jahangir Kabir Talukder said the killings were planned, with Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, then a lawmaker, identified as the "chief coordinator".

He claimed the Awami League played a role in protecting those involved, entering the Pilkhana compound with a procession of 20–25 people and leaving with more than 200

He further alleged the incident was carried out with the "green signal" of then-prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

On responsibility, he said accountability lay with the head of the government to the army chief, police, Rab, and intelligence agencies -- showing "utter failure."

He also criticised the role of some media outlets and journalists.

The commission noted that records of BDR members who met with Sheikh Hasina at Jamuna (then-prime minister's residence) during the incident were not properly preserved. It made several recommendations to prevent similar events in the future and ensure justice for victims.

The commission included Brigadier General (retd) Md Saidur Rahman Bir Pratik, Joint Secretary (retd) Munshi Alauddin Al Azad, DIG (retd) Dr M Akbar Ali, Professor Md Shariful Islam of Dhaka University, and Assistant Prof Md Shahnawaz Khan Chandan of Jagannath University.

On the occasion, the chief adviser said, "The nation had long been left in darkness over the BDR killings. The role you have played in uncovering the truth will be remembered by the nation." He added that the report would answer lingering questions and serve as a valuable resource for future generations.

Commission chief Fazlur Rahman said the investigation was conducted with the highest level of professionalism to ensure neutrality and accuracy. He noted that many individuals linked to the mutiny had left the country.

"We summoned witnesses and heard some for up to eight hours. We spoke to those involved in earlier investigations, collected their reports, and gathered other elements," he explained.

Present at the meeting were National Security Adviser Dr Khalilur Rahman, the chief adviser's special assistant on defence and national solidarity development, Lt General (retd) Abdul Hafiz, and Home Secretary Nasimul Gani.

This massacre laid the foundation for Hasina's brutal regime. Patriot officers like Col Gulzer was murdered and those who weren't killed, were forced to submit under the new order. Party loyalists were promoted and the armed forces became subservient and incompetent.

It was an open secret, pretty much everyone in Bangladesh knew. I'm just glad that we can at least discuss it openly now.

One thing that surprised me is the lack of any significant mention of Jahangir Kabir Nanak, sure Tapash was one of the main actors but Nanak was also equally involved if not more.

Kangaroo court with their predetermined verdict. Hehe. Any sane person would know that PILKHANA massacre was orchestrated to put the newly elected AL government in grave danger, as the crooks involved hoped to enrage the Army, spark a clash between two major forces in the country, and potentially overthrow the AL government. Lol. It happensld just a month later hasina took power for a reason.

It happened in a month of assuming power because AL and India had been planning it for years. Some of those officers who died were transferred to BDR just weeks before the incident. Another pattern is that all of these officers belonged to the artillery. Pretty evident that it was a targeted killing of officers who were deemed a threat to AL.

Why would army officers serving their duties inside former BDR make the AL feel threatened? If the incident had taken place inside an army cantonment, it might have made some sense, though still far fetched. However, I covered inside bdr gathering place, and the officers who were killed were mostly mid‑level and junior officers, mainly Colonels and Majors, with only a couple of Brigadier Generals and one Major General.

However, everything that happened afterward, especially the way specific lawyers defended the accused clearly shows that this was orchestrated by anti state elements who wanted to push the newly elected government into a deep crisis. Their goal was to spark a large‑scale conflict between the Army and the BGB, hoping that such chaos would weaken or even overthrow the new government.

Another point that many ppl might have missed while they were staging this drama is that, former bdr head Gen Jahangir was appointed as the head of the investigation committee for the Pilkhana massacre by AL

Considering the report released by this circus commission appointed by the IG correct, investigation report published back then by the Maj Gen Jahangir led Committee must now be regarded as false and fabricated.

Then why is the head of that investigation committee at the time, who is now working as the Adviser of this IG, being held accountable for the crime of producing this false and fabricated report? Why hasn’t he been arrested yet?

Aww the bongopoltu propaganda is no longer working since Awami dalals cant use India as backup as India is no longer regional bulwark anymore.

The only circus that is happening right now is the parading and degrading of the awami cult members.

These gaumutra consumers think without Indian help they can do anything. Now that India has been maimed internationally awami dreams are slowly phasing out

Anymore and Bangaboltu will be placed on every urinal and latrine in Bangladesh.

ALM Fazlur Rahman just gave a summary. We must make Inquiry Commissions report public.
