This is a good development. Mr. Naqvi is actually visiting Bangladesh. I think Pak FM may visit soon. Its long overdue.

Pak-Bangla relationship was improving at lightening speed after the ouster of Hasina but seems like things are moving slow now a days.

Either things are happening behind the scene to avoid unnecessary attention or some forces within Bd establishment working against the unity.
Not all of the former government's remnants have been rooted out from the country and administration. Our revolution has been left incomplete.

Pakistanis share their experience in Bd.

Feeling is mutual. PAK-BD brotherhood Zindabad

hopefully the cooperation and friendship grows. The 2 countries can help each other in a lot of fields. BAF can get training and learn a lot from PAF and get better, i'm sure there's a lot of potential there.
The 2 countries also share a strong religious bond as welll as goodwill amongst the common people who care for each other.

It will be a up/down relationship depending upon who is in power - india centric or any other influences - china or usa or.....

Can't say for sure whether it will be up/down relation with Pak or something stable right now.

But the point of July revolution and the significant bloodshed on our streets last year is to bring back proper democracy where the principle influencer of the government and their policies would the people of Bangladesh through legitimate public mandate. Not any 'foreign centric' government in that sense like had in the past. I think we have succeeded to an extent. (Of course there will always be some foreign influences in a poor third world country like BD to some extent. But no foreign actor as principle influencer) Only future can tell better in next 5-10 years for sure.

At this point, I don't think any political party will survive being pro-India. Our biggest parties have reoriented themselves either towards Pakistan or atleast China. I kind of hope that while we don't become pro-India, we can foster a better, more equal relationship. On one hand, a tough strong stance against border killings and other Indian shennanigans, plus extradition of Awami criminals. And on the other hand, with the India-China potential Detente underway, we can foster a friendlier approach through China's channels instead of directly

Pakistan, BD vow to deepen bilateral ties

Dar, Bangladesh envoy hold talks on sidelines of the UN two-state conference

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Bangladesh have pledged to strengthen bilateral relations after Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with Bangladesh's Adviser on Foreign Affairs, Touhid Hussain, on the sidelines of the International Conference on the Two-State Solution at the United Nations in New York on Monday.

This marks the fourth high-level interaction between the two countries since October 2024, indicating a renewed momentum in Pakistan-Bangladesh ties following years of strain.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the two leaders conducted a comprehensive review of bilateral relations and reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing political, economic and cultural cooperation.

They also agreed to promote connectivity and people-to-people exchanges, with plans to facilitate high-level bilateral visits in the near future.

Both sides expressed deep concern over the grave humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the ongoing Israeli military aggression against Palestinians. They underscored their unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people and stressed the need for meaningful outcomes from the ongoing conference on the two-state solution.

Ties between Islamabad and Dhaka have witnessed a notable thaw since the ouster of Sheikh Hasina's government in August last year, which had long maintained a tough posture on Pakistan over historical grievances. The change in government in Dhaka has allowed for more pragmatic and forward-looking engagement between the two South Asian Muslim-majority nations.

Last week, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Dhaka, where he held talks with his Bangladeshi counterpart, Lt Gen (R) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury. The two sides reached a landmark agreement to grant visa-free entry to holders of diplomatic and official passports – a move widely seen as symbolic of growing mutual trust and a step toward easing travel restrictions for future trade and official exchanges.

With regional dynamics shifting, particularly in light of China's rising influence and the decline of traditional regional groupings such as SAARC, Pakistan and Bangladesh appear to be recalibrating their foreign policy strategies.

Both countries are now exploring issue-based cooperation focused on development, trade and strategic autonomy, moving beyond historical baggage.

The recent engagements also reflect Pakistan's broader diplomatic push to reconnect with South Asian neighbours, strengthen Muslim world solidarity and project a more constructive role in regional diplomacy.

Since the ouster of the Sheikh Hasina government, Bangladesh's interim administration has removed restrictions on Pakistani diplomats and imports, giving a fresh impetus to bilateral ties.

I saw this documentary last night, and not gonna lie I had no idea it was that bad on the streets of BD, that Abu Sayed, and other young guy/girl death was terrible, it was crazy and good that BD get rid of such leaders without turning on each other, I'd Pakistan has a lot of learn here.

Reality was 10 times more worser than what you saw in that documentary.
