Bangladesh Socio-Political Crisis 2024 and onwards

Please don't drag India and Indians into every grievance you have and please don't refer to events before August 5.

Keno? Why?

Not everything bad that happens in BD is to be blamed on India.

OTOH the example with Nasrin, a provocateur creating social disharmony in BD, given refuge in India, is not different from corrupt anti-BD Awami Leuge leaders given refuge in India.

We (Indians) did not make the rules, you did. Now if you break your own rules and pick on India for things that are past, should we not be allowed to protest?

তসলিমা'র ব্যাপারটা বহু বছর আগে হয়েছিল, এখন কি সেইরকম পুরোনো কথা টেনে আনলে আশা করি আপনাদের কোনো আপত্তি থাকবে না।
Taslima's events and incidents occurred many years ago, so if we bring up matters from many years ago, it is to be hoped that there will be no complaints from your side.

সবাই কি এক মত ?
আপনাদের দৃষ্টি ভঙ্গি মোটেও পরিষ্কার নয়।
Is everyone of the same opinion?
Your point of view is not clear at all

You should be logical and accept the full consequences of your remarks.

Please stop accepting posts from all, including Bangladeshis, who are not living in Bangladesh.

I am possibly one of the very few Bangladeshis on this forum who is actually in Bangladesh.

But on his speech to the nation in August he had claimed he has the documents.

The IG, more specifically the Law Advisor Asif Nazrul, was stupid (or sinister) to not force this guy to immediately resign and stayed with the constitution. And now what everyone expected is happening. This is not a good sign.

Things are sadly in confusion, as the present Interim Government has no existence except under the existing constitution that is still in force. Even under the existing consitution, it is difficult to see what constitutional role the IG has, and how B'desh plans to overcome the vacuum caused by the failure to obtain Sk. Hasina's formal resignation.

At this moment, nobody seems to have a constitutional position other than the junior officers of the administration (civil servants), police, the judges and the courts, and the military. The Interim Government holds power equivalent to a combination of Parliament and a Ministry, but without any kind of constitutional endorsement.

This is one of the main criticism of IG. Why they haven't dissolved the constitution and sacked the president early on.

Now we are stuck with this situation. Let's wait until the constitution reform commission's report comes out. And see what initiatives would be undertaken.
