Bangladesh Socio-Political Crisis 2024 and onwards

Unlike you, we've had to deal with crazy Bharti headlines spreading wild misinformation about Pakistan and Muslims for decades now and tried very hard to tell people a lot of them are blatant lies. They're not listening! Someone is consuming all that news, whether you accept it or not.
What makes you think that the problem is not obvious, or that you know the entirety of the Indian population? If you stop regurgitating your cliches, you might begin to see what is what. As it is, you have a hopeless, Stockhold syndrome view. Really little point in communicating with you; as pointless as communicating with a bhakt, who is, of course, your mirror image.

Well! I was on the correct side as always.

Called for her ousting two weeks ago.

I pride myself for being non partisan and on the side of justice.

I just hope the army and/or military doesn’t turn Bangladesh into Pakistan!
Good for you.

I agree with the general theme above. The protestors are in the upper quartile of Bangladeshi society.

Population of Bangladesh = 171 million
College age population = 171 x 4/72.38 = 9.45 million
Actual college population = 1.5 million

Assuming the upper class go the college . It is the top 20% in college
1.5 million/9.45 million x 100 = 16%

Do not expect this to solve anything. Center right elements in society will co-opt the protestors or if they do not co-operate their agenda
Usually the elite group of the society that will lead their nation. The elite is the most educated from the society.

We will see what will be like under new ruler. But if we see the situation in Srilanka, it is likely BD will be able to handle all of the hurdles they will face to become a real democratic country.

If I am not mistaken BD has high literacy rate as well which is an essential element to be successful with democratic system.

I would say IOC will be much stronger if BD as third biggest Muslim nation on earth can be a successful fully democratic country.

I will say, let us wait for some time before we congratulate or decry the revolution. Its too early to see see where this is going.

The most telling part is that this does not have a political leadership to take over. Which means opportunistic parts of Bangladesh's polity/society will jump into action.

The real question is still not resolved

She had imprisoned about 10,000 people from opposition parties and literally broke everyone whoever stood in front of her.

Now Bangladesh doesn’t have a political party as her rivals are either imprisoned or hanged. So who can provide stability to Bangladesh under these circumstances given the Army don’t do drama to seize the power for a long time.

Opportunists are every where. This is why I said yesterday that what comes after revolution is a tougher challenge.

If you see the situation in Indonesia, new parties are easy to make. This is why we set higher barrier after our democracy get matured.

During 1999, only just one year after Soeharto fall, there are around 20 - 30 new parties emerged. Election will be the system to filter all of those new parties.

Jamat leader late Mir Kashem and Ghulam Azam's sons - Barrister Ahmad bin Kashem and Brig Gen Azmi respectively were released from the secret and notorious DGFI prison codenamed "Ayna Ghar" - they were release after 10+ years! Most people assumed they were dead, as Hasina abducted them without any charges and no contact with family.

Brig Gen Azmi was highly rated within the army and could have possibly become the COAS of BA had he not been the son of Ghulam Azam, who was the Jamat chief.

A decade lost in forced imprisonment with no charges. I would very much like to know their experiences in DGFIs notorious prison codenamed Aynaghar (mirror house)

Opportunistic will likely try to get the wave, but in any democratic country, it is hard for person with no credibility and competency to lead the nation.

BD has british political system, I would want BD elite not to follow their previous colonizers as all British colony do, including India, Malaysia, and Singapore that mimic British political system.

Better change to Presidential system. Indonesia is also not following Dutch system.

Parliamentary system tend to create less stable gov compare to Presidential system

Bengali Youth is alive, can u teach the idiot pakistani youth, who have a gem of a leader in jail and wont come out to protest.

Pakistanis fire blanks lol. Make big statements and when leader is in jail they all dissappear. Respect to Bangladeshi youth, the protests were increasing daily and army and Hasina realised they're unstoppable and millions would die if strict action is taken.
