Bangladesh Socio-Political Crisis 2024 and onwards

Not only are you detached from reality, you were Hasina loving for the longest time. I have no reason to listen to you.

There is an active conspiracy going on throughout the country. If you deny it, you are either naive or just another closet fascist.

While you are correct that there will be some people that will still have delusions of getting Hasina and AL back in power, the vast majority know the game is up as @BananaRepublic stated.

Without an army coup, there is no way that Hasina or AL are coming back into power. BA made their decision last Sunday and it is not going to change.

As for Hindus protesting in Chittagong, we cannot assume that this was instigated by AL. Yes they are being disproportionately targeted for their support for AL but some genuinely may fear that they could be falsely accused of being collaborators and attacked in the current atmosphere in BD, or prosecuted when the wheels of justice are again moving.

The public and BA are now firmly with the post-Hasina world and there is nothing that AL can now do to go back to before August 5th anymore.

News report from yesterday where BAL mob set fire to army vehicle and assaulted army troop in Gopalganj

NB: Gopalganj is birth place of Sheikh Mujib, Hasina's constituency and BAL stronghold

There are many BAL loyalists still within the army, so don't rule out the chance of a counter coup. There are far too many elements in Army, Police and civil admin who are BAL loyalists. Until they are all cleansed and forced to resign from their position, we cannot sit comfortably.

As for the protests on Hindu attack - I can show you social media accounts of people like Omi Pial (hardcore BAL- who used to be a member here in PDF too) - who had been calling his party men to join the protest in Shahbagh. If you can read Bangla - he says to his partymen to join and don't fear for their lives since they are in existential crisis. Does this seem like he is asking people to join up for saving Hindus or to save BAL?

I have more examples like this. You can do your own research on social media to identify who were participating and arranging these protests.

Social media lol

The great source of truth lol

Stop trolling! Have a rest!

Army should cut off the internet!

Even trolls deserve a break!

@Mr X I think this is getting to a point of harrassment now.

I have been putting proper disclaimer if an info is not verified from any social media post that I post.

Yes there are of course many BAL loyalists in BA still. It will take some time to reform all the insitutions of the state and that cannot happen overnight.

Well there were more before August 5th and they refused to keep Hasina in power by shooting protestors.

A successful coup will require the common officer and infantry soldier to be prepared to kill BD'shis in the thousands and they have demonstrated that they are not prepared to do that. A general can only lead where his troops are prepared to follow and I am sure all AL generals still in BA are well aware of this now.

Yes there are going to be some people still protesting with the aim to try to get AL back into power but they really have not much base to do this on.

Fortunately, Alhamdulillah the troops and lower ranking officers have always been with the people of Bangladesh. Which is the reason Army sided with the people. But these BAL loyalist Generals and senior officers must immediately be sacked, or else they can start a civil war.

The problem is - although the city folks and educated folks sees right through BAL activities - it is not the same for village folk. They are easily swayed and will stick to the same party no matter what happens to the country. The result - you see people in Gopalganj taking up machetes and other local weapons to attack army troops and bring back Hasina.

Indian media will use all these footage available and portray that majority people are against army. Bangladesh is going through a very critical phase and we have to actively thawrt any kind of conspiracy to bring Hasina back.

Mujib never transformed from an agitation protestor to an administrator. He always blamed everyone else within his government and party, the thought never occurred to him that he had no experience in running a nation or anything for that matter.
The key.

It’s almost like you are wishing for a coup.

When even Hasina supporters like @UKBengali and I know the game is up.

Any General who even tries anything will probably lose his head.

They are more likely desperately trying to disassociate themselves from BAL.

Only group still in denial is the Hinduvta mob in BD.

Their desperate trolling is falling on deaf ears.

Modi has eaten away any sympathy for Hinduvta.

Game is up! Move on!

Let’s start rounding up the BAL goons who made people’s lives miserable.

Do a thorough job like Hasina did on Jamat 🤣

@UKBengali @Joe Shearer @LeonBlack08

Although the new government has a lot of work to do, it must prioritise all those that were involved in kidnapping, torture and murder on behalf of AL.

Along with all those involved in serious corruption, it is extremely important that these people are identified and prosecuted as soon as possible. They should also lose the right to ever hold any political or government/civil service position as there needs to be a "cleansing" of the political and government/administrative structure in BD.

Can't bring myself to blame @LeonBlack08.

Remember all that took place in 1975.

Fortunately, there are no scoundrels like Khondakar Mostaq Ahmed around this time.

Dada, I won't bother replying to that individual. Besides opportunists who switch sides for the winning party, are not worth my time.

But just so you know, just yesterday the BAL appointed judges held an emergency meeting to rule on the current interim government and judge it as illegal. This came right after Hasina's son claimed Hasina was still in power and her resignation was illegal.

The student protest leaders were tipped off by intelligence that the meeting was happening, so they immediately gathered up and held their protest in front of court. They urged people online to join up and prevent this judicial coup. Amidst pressure, the chief justice resigned along with 5 other judges.

The country is in a very critical stage and anyone who makes light of these developments are either naive or have malintention in their heart.

Syed Refaat Ahmed made chief justice

Yes, I read about that incident with considerable astonishment.

In 1975, only a tiny minority were literate - let alone highly educated.

In a land of the blind - one eyed politicos and generals were king.

Let’s stop harping back to the past.

I am with the Gen Zs (my nephews and nieces) - let’s look forward.

My generation’s time is up!

It is their time!

I hope and pray they do a better job! I think they are incapable of anything worse.

Now please stop bickering with @LeonBlack08 (and reciprocally).
This is above all a time for quiet and steady joining of hands and working together, never mind the differences of opinion.

As an outsider, that is the best I can suggest.

I don't think minorities will support BNP-Jamaat for obvious reasons.
