KKR kicked out Fizz from their own league because their supporters didn’t want to see Bangladeshi players earning money from the IPL. To avoid backlash from Indian spectators, who are the main consumers of the IPL, they dropped Fizz. That’s their business decision.

But in response, Bangladesh decided to boycott an international tournament that had nothing to do with the IPL or the BCCI. Who exactly suffers if we don’t visit India? Will it hurt India in any way? Did anyone even take our objections seriously? You saw what happened in the voting process, didn’t you? We got humiliated.....

By all means, take revenge against India. But do it tactfully so that they feel the pain, not us. What the BCB did was pure stupidity. This decision will only hurt Bangladesh cricket. The BCCI and India won’t feel a thing.

Any nationality can have reservations about others. I’m sure many people in Bangladesh don’t view Pakistan or India positively, and that’s normal. But does that justify a stupid decision like boycotting an international tournament? If the boycot had affected India, it would've made sense. But the fact is, the boycott only hurts us, while the other side, ie. Indians remain unaffected.

We basically shot ourselves in the foot and ended up losing a lot of money and got ridiculed in front of the world by suffering a shambolic defeat in an international voting. The IPL is India’s league, and they don’t want our players there. So why are we so desperate to play in their domestic tournament? It all looks pretty embarrassing to me.
