In this video, we’re going to go over two stories that are profoundly tragic despite ending in what seems like a resolution. In the end, the resolution just isn’t quite enough. You’ll see what I mean. As always, viewer discretion is advised.

As per YouTube's new AI disclosure policy, you may see a box pop up that says "Altered or synthetic content". To give specifics on how it's used on this channel, we use it to generate some scenes where real and stock images are not available, as well as some of the AI tools in various programs to speed workflow. Otherwise, all scripts, voiceovers, video editing, etc. is done by humans.

I found the 2nd story pretty interesting...though sad. He should have communicated at the outstation he wanted to return to where he was found, back to adopted family and tribe. The account we have is also somewhat threadbare, there could have been lot of other things going on at same time.

Considering that the boy spent the majority of his life on that island, he most likely felt closer to the people of that island than to his fellow French people.

Common theme among the mowgli and tarzan kind of stuff that has gone on....but contextually with other tribes of people.

Rome took inspiration from romulus and remus being brought up by a she-wolf too (in a way providing a clean break with the Greeks as Virgil might have also harnessed in his way).

My favourite movie along this kind of theme probably is Dances with wolves though. Give it a watch if you haven't seen it.
