Ever heard X-plane and black project?
According to this standard and logic,PLAAF is R&D their Gen7th now.

PLA always adhere to this principle:equipping the current generation gears(gen5th J-20,J-35), developing the next generation gears(gen6th J-36,j-50), and pre researching the next next generation gears.(gen7th J-xx,J-xxx)

lol and do you think USAF/USN are sitting idle and not researching 7th gen lol you have a 5 year old kid lol

DAS or EODAS is not just for CAS "genius" it is for air to air...

Does J-20 have offensive EW and offensive cyber warfare as in electronic virus capability? I can tell you it doesn't therefor it is no match for the F-35 in air to air even when F-35 is disconnected from the kill web and J-20 is definitely no match against the F-35 connected to the kill web.

No they are not capable.

You seem to not understand how far behind celestial fighter tech is.

The DAS system on the F-35 is primarily for the ground role, the capability it has for air to air is largely short to medium range its DAS system is not optimized for BVR engagements, the F-35 was not developed for that role.

Like I told you, those aircraft comparisons are apples and oranges. They are both different aircraft for different roles.

With regards to EW capability not much is known b/c China is notoriously coy in revealing any info, the info we do get out of China is usually from observers rather than press releases and reports. Those reports have indicated that the J-20 is equipped with an EW suite, but not many details are known. With regards to EW, there are quite a few platforms like the J-16D and several others.

You have no tangible way to determine what China is or isn't capable of. Its foolish to assume that they don't have capability, you are just dropping buzzwords and jingoism.

The USAF certainly seems to be taking developments in China seriously in their assessments of the J-20s as well as the Chinese NGAD programs, from the comments we have seen come out. You would be foolish to assume that they aren't capable. The one element we do know is Engines were trouble for China and it remains to be seen how that element develops for Variable Cycle and 6th gen engines, but the assessments of the J-16s we have seen has been quite impressive, even from USAF commentators.

This idea that the Chinese don't have capacity is just Jingoism.

Considering how long the 4th gen has remained relevant ,
Most modern Airforces have not even started inducting 5th gen platform

And here we have USAF announcement on 6th gen fighter induction

This could very well be the reason behind Trump's offer of F35A to India, since it's no longer cutting edge

I hope Modi ends the Clown Show which is MRFA and orders 36 Rafales and 80 F35As like everyone expects from Him
No need to have local assembly, when we still have 150+ 3.5 gen Mig21s and Jaguars In service.

The heated debate is on whether it really has a canard or not, many can not accept it.

China has developed the pulse detonation engine, which is a generation ahead of the variable cycle engine. Plenty of videos are available on YouTube.

The 6th gen aircraft is only an appetizer for China, only the US takes this seriously.

It is quite certain that China gonna test flight the 7th gen aircraft around 2035, and will retire all 4th gen aircrafts by that time.

yeh but the F 35 is the most succesful 5th gen fighter in the world. Surely a lot of it has worked out.
I don’t think a fifth-generation aircraft with a speed of only Mach 1.6 and no supersonic cruise capability is successful.

I can observe that the J-20's "EOTS" doesn't have 360 degree capability or the ability to sensor fuse 360 degree IR cameras with tracking capability to its helmet. Shall I go on?
It can be seen that the F-35's "EOTS" does not have 360-degree capability, nor does it have the ability to fuse 360-degree infrared cameras with tracking sensors. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

F-35 is more a strike jet rather then a air supercity jet, but electronicky it is way way more advance that can China produce and F-35 is using high bypass ratio turbofan which limits the speed and have better fuel efficiency/quitter performance compare to low bypass ratio turbofan, which is fuel thrusty and much much louder then high bypass ratio turbofan

Do China test pulse detonation engine for aircraft propulsion? pulse detonation engine is still in its infancy stages and why you think USA is not doing research on PDE? in fact USA researching PDE before China started it own PDE project

US Pacific Air Forces Kenneth S. Wilsbach revealed that the US military's F-35 fighter jets have "encountered" China's J-20 at least once. The close contact over the East China Sea meant that the F35 was intercepted by the J-20. Neither the US AWACS nor the F35 noticed the J20 approaching. The J20 discovered the F35 in advance with the help of the AWACS and intercepted it. Your comments on the J20 are stupid.

yeah thats not happening bro. No Service is going to be retiring their 4th gen fighters by then, thats dumb, China is still inducting J-16s, they aren't going to retire jets that have been in service for less than 10 years. lol

Now you're just being a troll.

There you go.

I shouldn't be calling what the J-20 has hanging as EOTS it's more an IRST that they put underneath

Had to go to Boeing for purely political reasons. Boeing commercial aviation is still reeling from 737 Max disaster and it is a too big to fail enterprise so US gov has come to the rescue.
