The DAS system on the F-35 is primarily for the ground role, the capability it has for air to air is largely short to medium range its DAS system is not optimized for BVR engagements, the F-35 was not developed for that role.

Like I told you, those aircraft comparisons are apples and oranges. They are both different aircraft for different roles.

With regards to EW capability not much is known b/c China is notoriously coy in revealing any info, the info we do get out of China is usually from observers rather than press releases and reports. Those reports have indicated that the J-20 is equipped with an EW suite, but not many details are known. With regards to EW, there are quite a few platforms like the J-16D and several others.

You have no tangible way to determine what China is or isn't capable of. Its foolish to assume that they don't have capability, you are just dropping buzzwords and jingoism.

The USAF certainly seems to be taking developments in China seriously in their assessments of the J-20s as well as the Chinese NGAD programs, from the comments we have seen come out. You would be foolish to assume that they aren't capable. The one element we do know is Engines were trouble for China and it remains to be seen how that element develops for Variable Cycle and 6th gen engines, but the assessments of the J-16s we have seen has been quite impressive, even from USAF commentators.

This idea that the Chinese don't have capacity is just Jingoism.

So at best the relation between F-47 EMD (which will NOT fly until 2028 in the best case scenario by your own government's admition), and the 2019 demonstrator is akin to that between X-35 and F-35 or YF-22 and F-22A. So no, what has been flown were demonstrators (might or might not have been full scale), not prototypes, as much as your side tries to spin it.
