Breaking down the spending of war and infrastructure

One thing it doesn't mention is the massive loss in lives and destruction of property in the middle east. I think that should be considered as well.

Even crazier....Why not spend on ur people so they don't live in cardboard boxes? Why not spare middle east from destruction and death of million+? I believe the answer is that just like USA hollows out their allies to feed their economy, the Israelis are shelling out US to serve their interests.

The post-9/11 U.S. wars since 2001 have cost an estimated $8 trillion according to research from the Brown University Costs of War Project. [1, 2]

Cost Breakdown
  • Afghanistan and Pakistan Operations: $2.3 trillion spent on military operations.
  • Iraq and Syria Operations: $2.1 trillion spent on military operations.
  • Other Counterterrorism Regions: $355 billion spent in Somalia and other parts of Africa.
  • Homeland Security: $1.1 trillion spent on domestic counterterrorism and security measures.
  • Veterans' Medical Care and Disability: Estimated at $2.2 trillion to $2.5 trillion (including projected future care through 2050).
  • Interest and Borrowing: Substantial additional costs driven by federal debt financing for these conflicts. [1, 2, 3, 4]
