I don't think its that with Turkiye, they've said similar things towards the crimes Russians and Chinese have/are committing against Muslims. Russia may seem like a joke today, but it wasn't when erdogan was talking about the crimes Russians were committing for example against the tatars in Crimea.

Because my own experience is that most Muslim states tend to be silent on the crimes being committed against Muslims.
