Breaking News: Saudi Arabia won't recognize Israel without Palestinian State says Crown Prince

Basically Saudis want recognition of Palestinian State. A two state solution
Saudis first priority is self preservation and existence. Their political and moral stance is always about self before any morality. They hold the title of being the inheritor of the holy land. As a country and defender of the faith they are zero. Look at for example their behaviour with khashoggi. Cold blooded murder not fearing anyone.
Now they had influence and the ear of the American decision makers and sat down and took a back seat in the Palestinian slaughter.
Now what they say and do is insignificant and water off a ducks back. No one cares what they now say…….

Old news if one were reading between the lines.

The two-state solution is dead. Only a one-state solution is viable with both Arabs and Jews living in peace under a largely secular system.

As much as I disapprove of their recent practices, Saudi Arabia has weight nonetheless.

This guy has been so wrong on de analysis every time. So off that it’s not funny anymore.
Yup, he’s basically a clickbaiter, but does cater to the mood in his support base, hence these kinds of videos can reveal the desires of the kind of people who watch him.

bit surprising, according to a Reuters report in May, the US-Saudi security agreement should have been signed long ago

US and Saudi Arabia nearing agreement on security pact, sources say

WASHINGTON/DUBAI, May 2 (Reuters) - The Biden administration and Saudi Arabia are finalizing an agreement for U.S. security guarantees and civilian nuclear assistance, even as an Israel-Saudi normalization deal envisioned as part of a Middle East “grand bargain” remains elusive, according to seven people familiar with the matter.
A working draft lays out principles and proposals aimed at putting back on track a U.S.-led effort to reshape the volatile region that was derailed by Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack on Israel and the outbreak of war in Gaza, according to two sources who have seen the document.

It appears to be a long-shot strategy that faces numerous obstacles, not least the uncertainty over how the Gaza conflict will unfold.
U.S. and Saudi negotiators have, for now, prioritized a bilateral security accord that would then be part of a wider package presented to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who would have to decide whether to make concessions to secure historic ties with Riyadh, five of the sources said.

“We’re very close to reaching an agreement” on the U.S.-Saudi portion of the package, U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said on Thursday, predicting that details could be ironed out “in very short order.”
That part of the plan is likely to call for formal U.S. guarantees to defend the kingdom as well as Saudi access to more advanced U.S. weaponry in return for halting Chinese arms purchases and restricting Beijing’s investment in the country, according to foreign diplomats in the Gulf and sources in Washington.
The U.S.-Saudi security accord is also expected to involve sharing emerging technologies with Riyadh, including artificial intelligence, according to people familiar with the matter.
The terms are expected to be finalized within weeks, a U.S. official said on condition of anonymity.
The conditions that Netanyahu will face to join a broader deal are expected to include winding down the war in Gaza and agreeing on a pathway to Palestinian statehood, both of which Netanyahu has steadfastly resisted.

DUBAI, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Wednesday said the kingdom would not recognise Israel without a Palestinian state and strongly condemned the "crimes of the Israeli occupation" against the Palestinian people.
"The kingdom will not stop its tireless work towards the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, and we affirm that the kingdom will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel without that," the crown prince, known as MbS, said.

After the eruption of war last October between Israel and the militant Palestinian group Hamas that rules Gaza, Saudi Arabia put on ice U.S.-backed plans for the kingdom to normalise ties with Israel, two sources familiar with Riyadh's thinking said earlier this year, in a swift reordering of its diplomatic priorities.
MbS, Saudi Arabia's de facto ruler, had said just weeks before the fighting broke out that Riyadh was getting closer to a deal.

The two sources told Reuters there would be some delay in the U.S.-backed talks on normalisation of Saudi-Israel ties, which is seen as a key step for the kingdom to secure what it considers the real prize of a U.S. defence pact in exchange.
MbS made the remarks at an annual speech to the advisory Shura Council, which he gave on behalf of his father, King Salman.
The council swore an oath of office before MbS on Wednesday before he addressed it.

Silly statement by the Saudis. They are protecting Israel indirectly. This is just peanuts to fool the Muslims in believing that Saudi is still the leader of the Muslim world.

Fight and give Palestinians hope. Or STFU.

Two states is the only way out of this. One state is not feasible considering the decades of animosity between both states.

I too believe in Two State Solution for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Israel will not agree to two state solution why do that when u can expand settlements in the West bank.

Saudis/GCC rulers have one thing and one thing only on their brain: to defeat Iran and become regional leader.

For decades, they hoped the US would do the dirty work for them, since they themselves gave up any hope of doing it themselves. Now they are hoping Israel will do the job.

It is a tall order, yes. Daring if I may say.

But please understand that the current Israeli government are dominated by settler politicians. And most Israelis would like to see the Palestinians disappear like as if nothing happened while the settle politicians will get a sea view in Gaza under the rubble and bodies of tens and thousands of Palestinians. They are like in a dream world.

Also understand that the current Israeli society is very different from the one we knew in the 90s under people like former PM Yitzhak Rabin. He was the only Israeli leader under whom a two-state solution was a reality until his tragic assassination by a very angry Zionist. Even ten years ago, Israeli society was very different from what it is now.

Under the current circumstances, is it realistic to expect that a two-state solution? I am sorry to say, but the chances of a two-state solution are very grim for the reasons I explained.
