You're right that a struggling IRI is of little threat to Pakistan. The problem is that anything other than the IRI is a big threat to Pakistan. The monarchists are champing at the bit to bring their saffronist and zionist buddies in.

On balance, I believe that a stable, neutral, outwardly peaceful IRI is the best option for Pakistani interests.

They don't need to be our outright "friends" and we don't need to be theirs.

I don't want to see the destruction of Iran either...a normal state with normal working relationship is fine by me.
