In my humble opinion, it seems as though the Houthis are being pushed further towards the south-west. If a huge concentration of Houthi forces ends up confined to just one corner of Yemen, they won't have many places left to retreat to.

Notice that the Houthis don't appear to be advancing towards the east at all, while government forces are continuing to consolidate their positions further towards the west of Yemen.
