1) The word BRICS was coined by an Indian Investment Banker at Goldman Sachs to indicate a block of 4 fastest growing countries that are likely to be large part of Global GDP
2) 4 countries came together to coordinate their policies - this is called BRICS grouping. No one country has taken the lead or decides policies

3) 2 countries (Brazil and Russia) have already fallen in growth terms. China is swiftly following in the economic doldrums. India is kind of holding on, but with difficulty to consistent growth

4) 34 countries joining now means nothing. Together the block will not represent the kind of volume it was once expected

My guess is that this will become a wine a dine club and eventually die off. Hell even RECEP has proved itself to be a bullshit project.

I believe this is the Indian UPI system (unified payments interface). This will be accepted by majority of the world with our without BRICS.
