Pakistan does not need these, and they are no longer the measure of a successful visit.

4. Actual Investment in Oil & Gas and mineral sectors and not just talk.

This is a measure of a successful visit, increased trade, increased investments, removal of all technology restrictions and technology denial sanctions.

Till now everything is speculation or our view that India is being punished because of love of US with us. The fact of the matter is that crushing pressure is being brought upon Modi to accept the dictates of US. Pakistan unfortunately is just a ploy.

Even if Pakistan is just a ploy, what is the downside to Pakistan of being a ploy? Surely, worse trade terms for the India-USA trade for India, is in Pakistan strategic interest ?

Until some of the above things materialize, I for one will remain skeptical of the new found love of US.

What I am totally missing is, where is the supposedly large Indian lobby in the US?

The question is - can Pakistan refine U.S. crude? it's not optimized for it, and doing so may not be economically efficient without refinery upgrades because Pakistan's infrastructure is better suited for Middle Eastern (heavier) crudes and top up paying the cost for shipping - for an example, distance from Saudi is 1200-1500 km, from USA - 12000km

But yet - if Pakistan wants to make Trump happy... Pakistan needs to buy from them.

Believe me - being indian if you buy oil and gas from iran and top up via pipeline - it will most hurt indian since we are enemy

But if you buy costlier oil and gas under pressure - we would be okay with that because from iran - is a much cheaper for Pakistan.

Now , you are getting carried away Rajkumar.....WTI crude on a average is $ 4 per barrel cheaper than Brent crude, if our refineries ( other than ATRL , all are incurring losses ) can refine it , it's good for them.
