It would compliment interoperability with the JF17C fleet perfectly. Only thing missing is a AEW&C like the Shaanxi KJ-500.

Would be interesting if they did go for it in the end, both the plane and AEW&C.

As a note, Azerbaijan already operates the HQ-9BE, so they are close to have a "closely integrated IADS" setup. Will be a touch nut to crack for most of its neighbours.

Btw, this Hürkuş-II displayed in Azerbaijani air force colors was also a mock-up. Azerbaijan is a confirmed customer.

So I think the J-10CE display points to something more than simple marketing by AVIC.

So I think everything surrounding J-10CE points to something more than simple marketing by AVIC.

Well two way street, they have Barak missile systems that Israel and India use. My guess is the strategic relationship Azeris have with Pak and China far outweigh the relationship with Israel.
Just look at Pakistan, even when relations with US cooled and we inducted J-10C we still kept Block 52/MLU security in check.
