Well, put Chinese imports and American goods side by side in a shop and see what people want to buy.

I have seen people buying Midea heat pumps and air conditioners over ones from GE and Lennox. Neither GE nor Lennox have done any upgrade or R&D in over 30 years. They are still making units for MASSIVE homes which are no longer common in bigger cities. None of them make units for apartments very common now.
 
American automobile are uninspired, outdated and overall unreliable. I will take Asian imports over them any day.

Trump is pulling back the American Empire. It's the multi-polar world you all been clambering for. But we will do it on our terms.

Trump is already hinting to Americans there will be hard times for a year or so as the American economy adjust.

Well the educated wealthy people already knew Trump would be a mistake, the uneducated backwoods poor people voted for Trump and they would vote for him again even if he is a disaster. For these uneducated backwoods people, times haven't been too good since the 80s or 90s, they are angry at the American elite, angry at immigrants and angry at the world in general since they think they have been badly treated. Trump gives them exactly what they want - a vent for their anger towards immigrants and the world in general. They will vote for Trump again as long as he gets rid of immigrants, hurts the educated elite and if other countries end up suffering more than Americans .
