Trump still doesn't see the Chinese government's intentions clearly.

The Chinese government is controlling rare earths, not stopping rare earth exports. Any manufacturer that buys rare earths from China must provide usage, product information, downstream manufacturers, and pretty much everything else. Now the Chinese government is gradually controlling this information and matching it with big data and AI. Eventually China will have complete knowledge and control of all rare earth related industries around the world.

This kind of tactic is not at all comparable to the stupidity of the US that only uses sanctions.

I just hope Xi is not going to give in the rare earth minerals after a call with Trump as he has alluded to in his post and the indication of China loosening up the restrictions to American car makers now. China should only lift bans on the rare earth minerals after US also lifts bans on semiconductors to China and stops selling weapons to Taiwan.

A complete ban would only lead to the development of rare earth technology in the West regardless of the cost at any price, and would also lead to rampant smuggling. This is not in China's interest. What China wants is control, just like solving a flood can only be controlled and unblocked, not clogged.

China should bargain for reciprocity of semiconductors and weapons on Taiwan shouldn't give out free.

We don't really want semiconductor unblocking. The ban would force Chinese capital to come in and develop semiconductor technology, it would rally and unite the Chinese people, and the US would take all the blame.

We don't want to buy American weapons either.

We want all rare earth buyer business information.

Also, we want the American market.

China has way more cards than rare earth minerals. Latin America has socialist governments in many of the silver producing nations. The the socialists to nationalize their mining industry with the metals going to Chinese exchanges. China has their gold reserves that can back the yuan. China can buy the entire COMEX and LME supply of precious metals and have a commodity squeeze signaling significant dollar weakness.
 
The nationalize the mining industry of Latin America Socialist nations had to be done with Biden, I suggested on many occasions on the old PDF, because Biden was weak. Biden could not defend Ukraine, let alone Peru nationalizing their silver and metal mines and Chinese managers running the mines for Latin American nations to get the metal to be sent to China, cutting out the COMEX and LME from supplies of copper and silver.

There were many Chinese saying China should have taken Taiwan during Biden because Biden was weak. Except that would have ruined Democrats for years. If China takes Taiwan during the Trump years, it means Trump lost Taiwan. It is easier for China to take and defend Taiwan in a war with Trump than to defend Latin America.

If China tries to help Latin American nations nationalize their mining industry with Trump, Trump would likely use the military to occupy Latin American nations. Because Trump is an imperialist, not an isolationist. So China could not defend Latin America as China could defend Taiwan. Though with newer US weapons soon to be in production, China may want to take Taiwan sooner than later, except China must be fully prepared.

During the Biden years, China had to arm to the teeth in weapons purchases and nationalize Latin American mines or go to a gold back yuan. These were the two easier paths to a Chinese Golden Dawn, a new age of Chinese dominance with weak Biden. The Ukraine war was the sideshow distraction to make those that hate Washington have a release valve and release their anger at Washington in a completely nonsensical direction that never harmed Washington.

So, China still has the cards because China can invade Taiwan and take TSMC, China can go to a gold backed-yuan and get the anti-American nations to support gold backed currencies. Putin is a Trump agent, though use Chinese their points with Russia and force Russia to back gold backed global currencies of nations opposed to American Imperialism.
