It's in China or Russia? Both are right.

China and Russia border citie, people are in Russia city Blagoveshchensk, the Chinese flag and highrise buildings are in China's Heihe city.

Perhaps a shared border building or border village could be built, a little ways away from the gate, where tourists from both sides can go inside, share food, share cultural experiences, etc.?

Chinese tourists can say they have been inside of a part of Pakistan and Pakistani tourists can say they have been inside a part of China, inside the building or village built on the line, and share pictures with friends and family.

That's a very good offer.

Reference can be made to the former “Chung Ying Street” in Shenzhen/Hong Kong.
China and Pakistan would each take an area along the border and set up a new tourist town. Citizens of the two countries will enter the town to experience each other's culture and buy each other's commodities.
Both sides will have to manage the area separately and set up fences. Citizens of their own countries will need border documents and undergo security checks before they can enter the area. Carrying any weapons is prohibited. The region is managed by the respective government agencies based on the national borders.

Happy to see peace and friendship overflowing along the border, China has 14 neighbors, and enjoys very cordial friends with all of them barring India, the only hostile, highly militarised border out of 14.

This definitely good tourism for Pakistan and China, the Khunjerab Pass.
