India is in talks with China regarding visa delays faced by businesses.

Bloomberg reported that Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar made the above statement on Saturday (August 22) in New Delhi, in response to a question about Indian companies being unable to obtain business visas from China.

The Economic Times of India reported this week that China has significantly tightened its issuance of business visas to Indian corporate executives. Even companies with "deep partnerships" with China are facing visa refusals, leading them to relocate important executive meetings to other countries such as Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. Some Indian artificial intelligence startups have been affected by these visa refusals.
