Major Invasions and Foreign Powers

You can play with words, but everyone respect power, regardless they want it, hate it, despise it etc.

Did the Byzantine emperor respect the Mongols? At the end of the day, he wrote to Mongol khan and asked to become his falcon keeper. But I do not think he loved the Mongols and wanted to emulate them.

In addition, regardless of whatever the American and media say about China, absolute majority of them actually want Chinese-standard infrastructure, Chinese-standard education quality, Chinese-standard health care quality, Chinese technologies, Chinese-standard security, Chinese-standard cleanliness etc. in the US.

They don't have enough leverage on China in Chinese neighborhood. So its better to deal with Russia and Iran first. Having European nutters and Arab kinglets in your neighborhood can a menace and fortunately China doesn't have it. Japan and SK are too small to be a threat to Chinese mainland and moreover they have economic interest in China which leaves them neutral in sensitive cases.

When it comes to west and USA, Its all about priorities.

Making China obedient is impossible while having Iran and Russia intact. West Asia and Russia is main sources of China's energy requirements. If west hits them well and brings them in line, China can be choked easily.

It works both ways however. If they bring China on its knees, it will be much easier to bring Russia and Iran in line and eventually colonize them. They tried COVID to destroy biggest leverage in global market, the cost effective Chinese labor force. They have been working on viruses that only affects Chinese people for a long time now but forgetting that it could backfire on themselves.

But given all conditions, in western point of view, its better to avoid a conflict with China before dealing with Iranian and Russian cases.

Now they like China, need China, fear China, etc, it depends on your own perception of strategic equations in the world.
