Chinese 6th Generation Aircraft News & Discussions

What I meant was that the newest photo shows a different airframe compared to the first photos of the J-50/J-XX:

The above should already be the "full prototype" of the J-XX/J-50. The gray-white airframe in the latest series of photos should be the preceding technology demonstrator.
or one of them being unmanned fighter drone.

The sixth generation of Ginkgo biloba machine has modified the details of the new picture and created a hand drawn three view view
Broadband omnidirectional stealth (stealth from Ku band to VHF) is estimated to be -50 dbs or approximately RCS: 0.00001 square meters (5 zeros)
Captain 24 meters, wingspan 21 meters
Maximum takeoff weight 44-55 tons
Maximum speed of 3-4 Mach
Front landing gear dual wheel, rear landing gear front and rear dual wheel
Diamond shaped large stripe diamond without vertical tail layout
10 movable flaps, including 4 flexible split type resistance rudders
On both sides of the lower jaw, there are super large photoelectric detection system windows
Equipped with a lateral radar array
Three engines, three air intakes, two Garrett air intakes on both sides of the lower jaw, and one DSI clamshell air intake on the back of the aircraft
The estimated maximum total thrust is around 55 tons
Two dimensional vector nozzle
Super large and ultra long main magazine
Two longer side magazines (fighting magazines)
The magazine can load various types of ammunition such as PL15, PL10, PL17, YJ21, YJ12, YJ18, etc
The maximum estimated range may reach 12000 kilometers, which can only be used for air-to-air missions,
The estimated combat radius across the sea is 3000 kilometers

India has been invited to join the Tempest programme - though what they will get in ToT versus what they feel these "deserve" in ToT will be a significant mismatch. There are 3 core partners on the programme, UK, Japan and Italy. Anyone else who "joins" is basically along for the ride as most of the work will have been done before any other "partners" join. Saudia Arabia has also been invited, though i dont know what the Saudi's can offer other than hard cash..

India doesn't have much to offer either other than hard cash lol the exact benefits would depend on the level of participation and technology transfer allowed within the partnership.

Saudis will just be hard cash.

India will get a production line and option to put in their own radar, avionics and missiles.

However these will be inferior to just taking the core subsystems and munitions developed by the 3 core partners.

That’s pure nonsense

No, by all I know they have not even if some Indians are already wetdreaming.

The UK invited India to join the former Tempest programme before Japan joined and it became GCAP.

It is highly likely that India will join to get access to the best they can get their hands on.

Another 200-250 planes will really help lessen the burden of R&D.

I'm sure India rejected the tempest program when it was first offered to them.

It will cost too much. Ngad is reportedly cost 300 mil per plane I don't see tempest to be any cheaper. Better for them to go for su-57 and work on amca but knowing HAl incompetency first prototype will not be in the sky anytime soon

They may change their mind now after what they see coming out of China.

This is by far the best fighter aircraft/systems they can get their hands on.
