For Chinese 6th generation jet engine will be major hurdle its takes years to develop decent variable cycle engine for Chinese 6th generation jet

It won't take as long as WS-10/WS-15 takes as the base is already there. By mid 2030s I am sure Chinese will have them.

Look bro first VCE engine developed by USA in late 80s (F-120) and still USA developing VCE engine (workable prototype will appear in 2024/2025) so I assume that China will have workable VCE engine after 2045/2050 time period

Maybe you are right but still my intuition say mid 2030s.

You are forgetting one key advantage, when the US develops it, China can just steal it to quicken the process. :p

You mean rotating detonation engine? It's a rocket engine bro

Yes Dear. I am not an expert but I think it's tech can be used as if Chinese are somehow able to do metallurgy for such extreme conditions, then it would be easier for fighter engine.

It's not needed for jet engines because rocket engines have a extreme temperatures but jet engines have not such extreme temperatures, so metallurgy for rotating detonation engines are not needed for jet engines

To be honest I don't know much and actually in a learning phase with you in this topic, so don't you think combined cycle engine have ramjet and scramjet part too which need to be able to stand extreme conditions and temperature? and that's one of the big challenge for making combine cycle engine?

Look bro rocket engines works almost in vacuum needs some kind of cooling for their combustion chamber and for their nozzles it is only possible to cool both either from external source or from fuel ( external source cooling is not possible because their are no air to cool nozzles of rocket engines) but on the other hand air breathing engines (jet engine/RAMJET/ SCRAMJET/COMBINE CYCLE ENGINE AND PULSE DETONATION ENGINE) have atmosphere/air to cool their combustion chamber and nozzles
