Come to think of it. J-50 and J-36 are a lot like WW2 era P-51 and P-47. P-51 is smaller and nimbler and better built as an air superiority fighter. P-47 is bigger and more heavily armed and better built as a fighter bomber. Likewise, J-50 is better built as an air superiority fighter, J-36 is better built as a fighter bomber.
