Chinese Aircraft Carriers - Liaoning, Shandong, Fujian and the future

That's pure non-sense! the J-35 is never that ready to be tested yet ... most likely just a helicopter
Why? they have been testing J-35 for 3 or 4 years, and before that J31 has been in testing for 6 years. It Should be ready by now. We see it parked at Dingxin or Huangdicun. They should be in low-batch production by now. Fujian is on accelerated testing they are halfway through now. so assuming it gets commissioned by the end of this year or early next year. Then it will be another year until they get the air wing ready.

It could be just flyby just to test communication between Fujian and the fighter not actual touch and go

No and that's the point ... we haven't seen at at Hunagdicun (and why Dingxin? It is a naval type?) on the land-based catapult yet and now just since a new prototype appeared, all are jumping the band-wagon, they are doing cat-tests already on the third trial? IMO NEVER!

I never said they did a catapult test. But it is logical if they did fly by at least to test the communication between the fighter and Fujian. Plus at the back of Fujian there is approach radar needs to be tested

Again total BS by a fan-boy how only wants some clicks: Neither the Fujian will be ready nor the J-35 ... both at least will take 3-4 more years to be "ready" and operational capable is yet another story!

Just look how long it took for the Shandong and here it is a totally new and more advanced design.

I don't know why you are so pessimistic about China's progress. Maybe it confronts your bias that the West is always superior. Fujian is on an accelerated test program. They want that thing operational ASAP It is a third way to commissioning and there are still 5 months to go before the end of the year.

J35 is progressing smoothly has been tested for 3 or 4 years and should be ready for initial low-batch production by now! Maybe they wait for the WS 19 test or they can use an analogue of the Russian engine RD 93 to be replaced later

Wuhan is ready to install a new mockup island of the Type 005.

It looks like the mockup will be ready by 2025.

The island structure of the Type 005 is about 20 meters long and 30 meters tall, it weighs about 600 tons.

This implies that the Type 005 could be deployed in the timeline of 2032-2034 by judging the building speed of the Type 003.

Since the Type 004 gonna be a twin of the Type 003, it won't need any new mockup island.

004 not 005?

From all I know and including how I understand POP3 there won’t be another 003

He also believed that the Type 003 gonna use the steam catapults.

The Type 005 gonna be powered by the MSR + CO2 generators propulsion, not the traditional propulsion of PWR + steam turbines of the US supercarriers. It gonna take some time, and it is surely going to be after 2030.

The Type 004 is going to have some minor upgrades from the Type 003, and becoming ready around 2030.

But why is there still nothing to see yet?

They were doing the preparation since last year, and perhaps we will see the modules by 2025.

The Type 005 is a 120,000 tonnes giant supercarrier, and it will need to be powered by two MSR of 1000 MWt.

This will take some time, and I don't think it will be the next aircraft carrier after Fujian.
