Considering how much the Z-10 has been adapted for the needs of hot and high altitude conditions with heavy dust and/or sand, any indication China may re-engine the Z-15 with the same engine (WZ-9C) as the Z-10ME, to create a more affordable workhorse transport helicopter (at $6-7 million)? The Z-20 is probably too expensive to be procured in large numbers (on many export markets), but countries like Iran need a helicopter to replace its Hundreds of Hueys. Egypt also has hundreds of American, British and Soviet era helicopters badly in need of replacement. Pakistan too could do with more transport helicopters at an affordable price. Apply some features from the Z-20 could give it all the modern combat transport related capabilities. This could also be a small enough helicopter to fit on the Type 054A frigates and be good for export in the naval domain as well.China shows off Z-10ME attack helicopter at AAD https://www.defenceweb.co.za/aerosp...na-shows-off-z-10me-attack-helicopter-at-aad/
