Missing point, although some spoken Chinese dialects are quite different from the national Mandarin, the Chinese writing is all the same. Just wait, such suggestion is going to freak out Americans, British and Indians.

That doesn't stop Trump from hating China and Chinese the most, he wants to go to war with China economically and maybe militarily too.

Cantonese is not a language, it's just a provincial dialect, every province in China has some dialects. Mandarin is a Beijing based dialect or accent.
Both Taiwan and Singapore also speak Mandarin, cause Beijing has served as the capital city for China for hundreds of years so far.

Not gonna happen. Chinese is too hard to learn. Its tonal, too hard to pronounce and Kanjis are extremely hard to write.

Chinese don't use Kanjis only Japanese do. Every foreign language is difficult for many non natives. The only question is: are people compelled to learn for whatever the reason, if so, they will, otherwise they won't.

Not really. If you know English, getting started on any of the european language is much easier. The script is still way easier than learning anything like Kanji in Japanese or whatever Chinese charecters are called. Each word is a symbol, each symbol can be combined to form compounds. Too hard and too much to remember.

There are more people learning Chinese in order to study or work in China but don't see it becoming the main language of the World.
