All high ranking army officials are regarded politicians and senior military officials may know more about what their government are doing than most politicians.
Retired, right, that's why he can reveal some secrets, many shocking secretes were revealed by retired politicans.
 
Personally I want China to become the world's largest economy. The world deserves and so does China.

Can you explain why they (versus others) have this new found government position?

As if some CEO of a major defense company has less power in the government?
As if some Billionaire loved by the public has less power in the government?
As if some Celebrity loved by the public has less power in the government?
As if some famous news anchor with a huge following has less power in the government?

These military guys have nothing in comparison. Any of the above could have some military person sent packing.

Just look at Lloyd Austin..he's getting fried by the press just for a hospital visit.

BEIJING, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- The total length of China's operating high-speed rail tracks reached 45,000 km by the end of 2023, data from the national railway operator showed Tuesday.

The operating mileage of China's railway network amounted to 159,000 km, according to a work conference of the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd.

In 2023, the fixed-asset investment in the country's railway sector stood at 764.5 billion yuan (about 107.7 billion U.S. dollars), marking a 7.5 percent increase year on year.

A total of 3,637 km of new tracks went into operation in 2023, including 2,776 km of high-speed railways, the data showed.

Progress in the country's rail infrastructure construction last year includes the completion and operation of 34 railway projects, the initiation of services at 102 railway stations, and the advancement of 112 rail projects that are still under construction, said the company. ■

Han Chinese have no standard clothes that identify the ethnicity. It is both good and bad. It is good that we Han Chinese are open to every new fashion innovation. It is bad that we don't have much bragging right in ethnic fashion.

We certainly have our own national costume.

The Han Chinese are called the "HuaXia(华夏) nation", "Hua(华)" means beautiful clothes, and "Xia(夏)" means magnificent architecture.

The Han Chinese are originally a people known for their gorgeous clothing made of silk.
