None. It is India's GenZ with a disproportionately high number of women participating. This movement has defeated 10,000 Cr plus spent by Modi in building his image through his IT cell. It has also shattered caste and religious barriers. Hindu priests and Muslim clerics eating together, living and getting beaten together. We have in many ways restored the pre-independence India jaha Ashfaq and Bismil - dono Gaye faansi par, ek musalman aur ek pandit. Wahi zimmedari, wahi dosti aur wahi ekta. This is why BJP and RSS are rattled. They are taking down social media accounts, restricting posts and paying 20,000-30,000 per reel to influencers with more than 10k followers to post pro-govt reels.

GenZ baddies were particularly Brutal towards Modi. These girls abused him with the choicest words that would be beeped out on prime time TV. "Sanskari" Buddhas and Hindutva supporting uncles are devastated by this .

Those are quite impressive achievements.

GenZ realised watching videos on youtube of other countries that their image of being a superpower is somehow not translating to anything on the ground. GenZ knows a rising superpower has plenty of jobs and opportunities but instead everyone in India running away to West.

@rishi7887 is exaggerating the impact of the protests. The truth is:
1. People (Gen Z) protested peacefully en masse and govt had to "bow-down" to their wishes
2. Govt. went into self-correct mode; fired the minister, introduced a new bill - damage control as much as they can
3. Doesn't change the popularity of ruling dispensation as well as the behavior of fringe elements (which is shitty); it also doesn't change how an average 40+ yr person in India thinks about Modi or the "attachment / bhakti"

I want more accountability from the government and less rhetoric from both sides of the debate - hopefully, protests and initiatives like this are a start of a long journey towards making Indian politics better.

Who else needs to protest in India?

I think more than the "who", the "what" is important. So what should India(Indians) protest against:
1. Whole-sale black market / corruption - there is a single % point improvement (if that) in terms of corruption - be it politicians, govt workers, babus etc. - single biggest bane on Indias story
2. Accountability - this is larger than the institutions and needs to be personnel - I have seen perverse incentives driving bad behavior - in hospitals, in exams, in employment etc. It has to start with an individual - because no matter how hard a state might try, people will find loopholes if they want to
3. People truly seeing each other as equals vs. income or caste (SC/ST or even some ethinic groupings) - I spent bulk of my childhood and youth in India and didn't even see the disparity; its almost hidden to a level. Now that I have been in US for more than a decade, my perception and my ability to see for what it is has changed.

While these problems exist, people in India open homes to strangers, will help without thinking of getting anything in return and are generally happy and satisfied with little - things I wish I could say about US but I know its not the case here. There are pluses and minuses but I do think Indians working on these few things will make India even more beautiful.

One really needs to ask this ..., when did the (Indian) Gen-Z make a comment about Pakistan.
