They have probably saved more money in a week than the combined efforts of every cost cutting congressperson over the last 40 years.

That is a big thumbs up in my book.

Plus the fact that no Republicans are screaming but the Democrats are having heart attacks means it must be working.

Remember the Democrats are quick to want to vote for higher taxes but adamant not to cut spending.

They are like colleges and Universities with their perpetual high tuition hikes claiming there is no other way.

Wayne State University is located at the northern edge of the infamous Cass Corridor near downtown Detroit.

Across the street from the Law school is the Belcrest Apartments. A swimming pool is available. Large conference room, overlooking pool, offers options for groups of tenants to hold events.

Three bedroom luxury apartments overlooking surrounding area.

An upscale bar and small grocery next door.

But I paid to live there. The cheapest studio apartment, on the highest floor available.

All those fancy upgrades, at public institutions for LEARNING, paid for by tax payers (who much rather their tax monies go to such things as maintaining roads, street lights, public parks, etc.)

Universities are places for LEARNING, not social activities.



When I attended Central Michigan University forty years ago, the best students, I had the pleasure to talk with, if we run into each other, were the ones who drove to campus on a motorcycle or car, with just clothes they needed. And spent the entire semester studying, studying, studying.

Forget his name now, spent an enjoyable few moments with him as he was packing up his motorcycle.

"You leaving?"

'Yep, just got accepted at Brown University, need to get going.'

This is what universities are for.

When I wanted a break from studies, for fun, I went to the basement of the main library and explored the bound volumes of pamphlets printed by fringe and radical movements over the past century. Among my interests were: the Robber Baron era; Great Depression; 60s counter culture, Vietnam War protests; the back to the simple life of Living Small during the 70s.

BTW, it seemed the only other students in the library as much as me were the Asian students back in the early 80s.

That is when I knew America was going to loose their dominance in most areas of research and development.

The richest man in the world will understand the issues of the common man is the racket.
As a libertarian Elon Musk has no problem with a ban on Chinese cars which only benefits him not the population in this country.
He has no issues receiving government handouts, and boy he had plenty of those.
