They did. The British built Colossus Mark I in 1942 for the purpose of code breaking, the Americans built ENIAC in 1945 to aid in the work on nuclear weapons.

They were based on the same pre war science but the design process was completely independent. Both were dimly aware of each other's work on computing. After the war Churchill ordered all Colossus machines destroyed and all documents classified, they were only declassified in the 1970s.

If someone says the Americans invented computer, the British will be really furious for sure. There was a British professor in our class that went in great length few times to ridicule the the mainstream claim that the Americans invented the computer, he said it was British not Americans invented those machines indeed, haha.

Most Bolsheviks weren't Jews, there were more Jews among the Bolsheviks than their proportion in the population but the causes were mundane and did not involve grand conspiracies (the whole RCP(b) was 25,000 people in 1917, a vanishingly small number of people in a country of 150 mln).

I think the Bolsheviks were overall predominantly Russian nationalists, and the Trotskyism (liberal faction) got weeded out by the Stalinists.
