Hello members,

The game I am designing solely will soon be available on steam for purchase.

Game is about a tank commander and its crew tasked to defend a desert region of pakistan from coming indian invasion. The crew will face challenges of rough terrain, weather, enemy attacks via enemy tanks like t90 bhishma, t72 ajeya (episode 1) and armored vehicles.

Player will command alkhalid tank in episode 1.

Here is gameplay style.

1. Will feel like realistic approach rather than arcade. By adding proper projectile motion rather than basic raycast it will have also tank projectile drop, wind effect on it, 2km range

2. Around 50 sqkm map as episode 1 of game

3. Breakable structures, almost all man made will be breakable.

4. Nightvision and thermal vision for finding enemy in rough terrain

5. Ray traced lighting support and reflection

6. Includes support for dlss and amd fsr.

7. None of the content in game is 3rd part. All is made by me

8. Game will be very cheap 2$ to 5$

9. 2 to 3 hr gameplay time.

10. Supports ps5 and xbox controller as well.

11. Player will have rare support of jf17 strikes

12. Drone attacks in future episode 2 if 1 is a success

13. Volumetric cloud of tough of high sun to cloudy areas. With clouds travelling and giving dynamic lighting.

14. By end of episode 1 it will be dawn.

Native resolution Game requirements.
  1. For 1080p 60 fps ultra quality rtx 2060 super 8gb, 6 core cpu minimum. 16gb ram.
  2. Minimum i have checked gtx 1650 for 30fps high to ultra.

If you don't mind me asking, what's your background, graphic design, programming, based out of Pakistan, making this game?
 
Masters in computer science. Senior lecturer at reputed university. I was web and mobile app developer now transitioned to game development trainer.

Blender and unity 6 so far. As mentioned apart from some texture images rest is indigenous work including models like tank, rocks, aa gun on tank.

Graphics design ? Know enough to make marketing material.

That's good. You might consider starting a mobile gaming company focused on the Pakistani market. I believe there is one in Lahore called Gamerz Bridge, and another called Cell Squad; these companies have their own and have collaborated with other developers.

As a lecturer, you can start the incubator by picking the top talent in your university and building it up from there.

Right. However, these companies earn from ads on mobile game.

Im making game for pc or console market if its going good on pc. My target is different.

As a lecturer yes im trying to find incubation as I have people who are good. I have trained them enough to make team with them.

Thanks for the advice about incubation.
 
My tank game progress went to 0 due to some issues. I have resumed it back and my enemy ai is working for now as follows,

1. It tracks me in 10 sq km map. Attack range is 2km and track range is 3km. for now.

2. when it finds and tracks me it tries to get as close as possible and when its too close it retreats in a way that its front is always in my direction and goes in reverse

3. Turret targets me in all its 360 movements.

4. Shooting is not yet done.

5. If I shoot first it retreats to safer distance to attack

6. I have also added DLSS and AMD FSR support for AI resolution upscaling to maintain good FPS

7. Main arch enemy against al khalid is T90

8. I have formulated story of tank crew from different provinces and support team to show unity between Pakistani people when Pakistan itself is attacked and in danger.

T90 model I designed in Blender is used in this game.

I mistakenly made this gun for alkhalid as well but now I know its different gun. So this is used in t90 bhishma

Why not use something like UE 5 instead of unity?
