DRDO video reveals the successful test firing of Agni V Mk2

Agni5/Agni5Mk2 and K4/5 will be the true strength of indian strategic nuclear firepower. DRDO has more than a dozen additional missile systems ranging from BMD to other SAMs, ATGMs, cruise missiles, hypersonic tech to Astra Mk2/mk3 and Rudram-1/2/3 which have been either inducted or under various user trial stage. This is all hardwork of over 40-50 years of R&D.
Yes.
But in strategic nuclear warfare. The missile costs may be 10 million Dollars. The strategic yield warhead costs 100+ million Dollars a piece.
The type , size , weight and design of those warheads dictate the capabilities and what systems are suitable for carrying those.
Countries build missiles for available warheads , not the other way round.

That's just normal stage separation and happening outside of atmosphere.
The thing changing direction is the discarded stage falling back to earth.
Good luck with convincing the politically committed.

Exactly bro.... but some posters misunderstood my post....

Spineless congress during AK Antony time never procured anything meaningful all they were doing was to blacklist this supplier and that supplier.... ultimately Indian military was suffering.... forget them ever giving go ahead to something like Agni 6.....
Quite right.
Just the Agni 6 procurement failure would have shrivelled up so many industries abroad.

It could be Sagarika aka K series SLBM.
No it's not.
Because the launch system isn't suitable for submarines.
If you see closely, there's a gas generator/ piston / plug / plunger , following the missile at the bottom.
This system is used by Russian ICBM and adopted by India for all Agni series.
First picture is from Agni P.
You can see the slanted , sideways thrust, which pushes the gas generator sideways and downward.

Second picture is from latest Agni test , the one being discussed here. You can see the large slanted sideways plume.

Here you can see the separated gas generator, pushed sideways and downwards .

While this system works very well for heavy ground based missiles, ejecting them from silos or launch tube . Similar system won't work underwater.

and establishment on behest of masters have stopped their inspirations, otherwise $ accounts will be frozen. Tipu, i thought it was ready ???

congrats india
We have Ababeel with declared MIRV capability.
Carries 3x Shaheen 3 warheads
It's another thing that we only witnessed it's test once. Then the missile disappeared, never to be seen again..
Edit. Actually tested twice. First in 2017 . Then disappeared for 6 years.
Latest test was in October 2023, which I totally missed.
No idea what they were doing for those 6 years.
The missile fired in 2017 and in 2023, visually look exactly the same.
